Is underscore _s based themes are acceptable in wordpress Depository

I was building some themes using underscore _S starter theme. After completion, I want to submit these themes to wordpress depository. I need to know does WordPress accept themes based on underscore starter theme.

Hi,

I’ve been working on a theme and wanted to submit it on WordPress directory while browsing through previous theme submission tickets I saw there were a lot of themes which were submitted before 2 months and still aren’t assigned to anyone. But update tickets are being assigned in few days and are being made live. Is there any update on this I think WP is not accepting any new submissions.

Any information on this would be really helpful.

Theme submission asking me to increase version number

I’m currently trying to upload the zip of my first WordPress theme to be reviewed in the theme repository, and I keep getting the following error.

You need to upload a version of Clean Blog higher than 2.1.0. Increase the theme version number in style.css, then upload your zip file again.

I have no idea why it’s telling me this, especially since it’s a new theme so it’s version is 1.0.0

The only thing I can think is that there was once a theme with the same name or folder name, so it’s causing an error when uploading.

I checked the URL of what the theme would end up as, but it’s not showing any active theme, so I’m stumped.

Last 3 week ago I was uploaded a my own created WordPress theme for publishing WordPress director. My theme passed for all requirement and when I was uploaded the theme then there sensed a email. The email sereneshort is blow. Now I can’t understand what I will do next .

Advice needed: Update theme with new custom type or submit a new theme?

There is currently a version of the theme WPFolio in the theme directory and I have rewritten the theme with massive updates including a custom post type. Simply updating the theme will severely change users’ sites – they’d need to refigure several posts into the new custom type to maintain the content display.

Right now I have named the theme WPFolio Three (yes, there was a Two as well) but would like not to have the “Three” to prevent future confusion, and go back to just WPFolio.

Can I add this version as an update to the theme directory, or should I submit an entirely different theme? If that’s the case, any advice on how to go about naming the new theme?

Forbidden functions to submit to wp themes dir

As you know themes are scanned before they are uploaded to themes directory. My submission were not accepted for two functions file_get_contents & curl , which i used for downloading themes files (css,preview image) from Bootswatch.

I checked docs but couldnt find any info on it, is there any way around it or is downloading of remote files absolutely not allowed ? Is wp_remote_get allowed by any chance ?

I had submitted a theme to WP directory but there is no review or reply on it. Its been almost 10 days now, I am still waiting.

Hello to everyone,
I tried to submit a theme to www.remarpro.com and I got a response that the theme was not approved because it failed an “Image Test”.

Image Test: Wide Image, Resized In Editor should be resized in editor to 329×222

What’s up with that? Does it have something to do with $content_width?
