I am in need of introductory help for a theme that I just purchased called TrueNews, designed by Theme Junkie. On their live demo, the theme looked like this:
https://www.mojomarketplace.com/item/truenews-magazine-wordpress-theme/demo/54356c78-dd9c-469d-8bae-51820a141528
When I bought and installed the theme, it looked like this:

How do I reconcile the differences? I would at least like to have the large featured post at the top and the boxes containing individual sections from the website (sports, politics, opinion, etc.). The problem is that I have no knowledge of HTML or CSS. I thought the customization system would be fairly simple and intuitive, but I guessed wrong. Would anyone perhaps be able to help me? Theme Junkie’s forums were no help.
Thanks,
The Virginia Advocate / Rob
For some reason this is how my tabs look when i try to insert anything in them they do not display the content i embed in them.
i checked the (edit plugin files for the tab.php) and the title says
“theme-junkie-shortcodes/shortcodes/tab.php (inactive)”
While the main file
“theme-junkie-shortcodes/tj-shortcodes.php (active)”
says active as you can see. don’t know if this has anything to do with the problem but yea.
any help?

]]>They’re displaying fine on individual posts, but if I add a new post and select an image from the media library (as opposed to uploading a new image), then it displays fine in the post, but no thumbnail shows on the home page summary of posts.
Can anyone help please? I’m hoping it must be a setting somewhere, as opposed to be needing to edit any code, but any help will be gratefully received – as I don’t want to have to re-upload the same “News” or “How to” images, each time I add new content to the site.
Thanks in advance,
Matt
