Sidney installing error

Hi, congratulation for your work, i am a old Astrid theme use. I wan to try Sidney. But i have 2 questions:
a) i dont see Sidney theme in theme gallery wordpress.
b) I have hade the info to modify max upload directive.

What Happened to the Theme Gallery?

In the past the theme gallery had all kinds of useful information about the themes. There was an FAQ. I could see when it was last updated. The theme description had paragraphs instead of being one big mass of text. What happened? Am I the only one that finds the new layout NOT helpful?

Removing "by author" and "comments" section

I’d like to remove the comments section my website and I’d also like to remove who it was posted by. I’m using the theme “Gallery”. I can’t find any option to turn off authorship. Like, it doesn’t show author on the front page, but when you click on the post it does.

Also, I see the option to turn off comments but when I uncheck allow comments in quick edit, instead of showing the comments section, it says “Comments Closed”. I’d like to remove that. Here’s my website: daeyeth.com. I’ve searched on this topic but I am having trouble finding solutions. So far, I haven’t been able to find the code when they say look for this specific line. Maybe it’s because of the theme I’m using? I’m a complete noob to this. Help please!

How to override theme's gallery feautre

I want to use LPC for displaying my WP galleries.
However I’m using a child theme built upon Magazine Basic which has a built in gallery feature that overrule my Lightbox settings.

I’ve already checked “Use For WordPress Galleries” and all my gallery images link to media file. Still it shows the gallery of my theme.

I’ve tried with WP default theme, TwentyThirteen, where the lightbox works fine.

How do I override/disable my theme’s gallery feautre?

Adding Colorbox to Theme: Gallery

When you select a post/picture, you go straight to it’s blog origin. I’d like to skip the blog display and go straight to a Colorbox display. No plugin I try is working. Is there some conflict I’m missing between the parent and child themes or is this only for use on pages and not posts? I tried searching, but typing in “gallery theme” seems to bloat my results.
