For several hours I have been trying to import the demo version of the theme. I can’t stay any longer, it’s desperate so I delete the theme and install another one

Hello everyone
I managed to pull myself through a rather large installation process with the Stockholm theme, I had problems with the demo upload (PHP time limit and not being able to import all demo data all at once). I uploaded the content via XML file, but missed the widgets for instance. But the demo widgets are now uploaded.

Now I managed to pull in some content from the demo (Elias), but 2 problems arose:
1) I cannot locate where to delete the posts in portfolio (on frontpage the last 6 posts/pictures) looks like an error?
2) I cannot upload/locate the categories for the portfolio. I can find the folder in WP but nothing happens.

How are so many theme authors making it possible to show menu links to show the different headers or blog styles and layouts from the same demo? I often see a theme demo with several menu links with the URL containing a ? in it like this example: /?home=masonry

I’d like to start theme demos that can showcase the different layouts of a blog, different home page layouts, or the different header styles, different slider options.

My header styles, blog layouts. and other options are selected from the WordPress Customizer, Everything is working fine, but how can i display them in url to the user as my theme demo.

Hi! I created a theme with 5 different layouts. I’m now making the theme preview for it but I can’t add the part where the user will click a button to change the preview into another layout. Any suggestion on how to do this?

So this is theme and plugin related, and it might be an easy fix for someone, but I’m drawing a blank. Okay I started using wordpress for my design clients in 2009. I bought a domain to test my themes and plugins before moving them to the clients’ domain. So each client had their own subdomain. And I had a fresh install or wordpress for theme. Added their templates and a simple theme switcher plugin. So now 4 years later I have 40 sub domains and 40 installs of wordpress.. MMM too much for me. It’s a space hog for something that doesn’t get traffic. So I decided to make it more into a wordpress them demo site. I found the plugin WordPress Theme Demo Plugin by Spot On. Well that does nice for the preview images and descriptions it pulls all theme info up. Instead of me making screenshots of themes and manually adding each project. Which I can tell you I get behind rather fast.

So my dilemma in the begging when I was creating themes I maybe wrote my name on them but no description and sometimes no preview. So now that 60 themes are listed right in front of me I see wow I have a lot of css to update.
Is there a plugin where I can easily update the information displayed under appearance tab.
Or do I have to manually pull every style.css and update the information in there.

I have configured the option in theme control panel. Buy no result. I used latest post as default. If i use static font page, the slideshow doesn’t work.

I am new at this, so I hope you can help me with this.

I downloaded the WP-1 Sunset theme for a blog. I had someone set it up for me (he never really worked in WordPress). My question is this: On my About Me page and on the page that has “latest most recent blog”, the words “Theme Demo” appear in the middle of the blog pages. I have been trying to figure out how to get rid of them. It looks terrible!

Can someone tell me how to correct this problem? I looked through some widgets and plugins, but I am really at a loss as to what to do. HELP!!

Hello all,

I have recently registered a domain : free blogger templates
and installed wordpress on it. I have created several blogger templates to offer the blogger users.
The question is :

How I can Create a Demo Site for all of my blogger themes using wordpress ?
Is there any plugin or something to do this ? Any help will be highly appreciated.
I have searched the wordpress plugins section and found wordpress theme showcase plugin but it previews only the wordpress themes but not the blogger templates.
So, anyone please tell me how can i do this ?
