Is it possible to hide the theme credits only on mobile due to the horizontal overflow?

First of all many thanks for your great theme. It was a lot of fun using it for my small cultural association.

I would like to use the theme credits for our legal notice and, more specifically, change “theme by” into “All rights reserved” (text only) and the link to your site “Anders Norén” by a link to our legal notice.

Can I do that with some CSS or should I edit the footer.php file ?

I’m using the Mantle theme in WP 4.1 and am having trouble removing the theme credits from the bottom of my page. I’ve read a ton of the forum posts about this topic (editing the footer.php file but making sure I have a child theme first etc. etc.) -I have no clue how to do that since my code is different from everyone else’s that posts about this topic.

How do I do this?

I’m pretty sure I have a child theme but am not sure about that either.

Apologies for being an idiot here but can someone lay this out step by step for me?

I wanted to know how to replace the credit information that appears at the bottom of the site or add text to the footer. I created a child theme and added the css code to delete the text for the theme credit that appears in the footer, but I realized that there is no way in the control panel to add copyright text.

I am not familiar with html or css code but I am good at following instructions

I simply cant find the footer_text function or content.
Ive looked in the footer.php, functions.php and havent found it.

Can anyone help ?

I really don’t like it and tried finding it in the Editor and Theme Options but I could find it. Could you help me?
