Image Caption Button Gone After Creating Text Over Image

I’m having a problem creating a caption. I created a post, created an image block, and I saw the new toolbar. It had a button for an image caption and one for putting text over the image. I used the image toolbar button to type text over the image. After I did that, the button to create a caption for the image disappeared. I can no longer see a way now to create a caption. Creating a caption is important to me as I use it to credit the image source.

On the home/front page I added a text over image. The green background image appears but none of the text. What am I doing wrong. If I have all the text the box increases as if it was there, and when I delete the text it shrinks. I have tried changing the color of the text to see if it changes and nothing. It was working fine and then I logged in and it was gone.
When looking at the website it is the green bar under the logo.

Hello there,

I am currently using Name: Portafolio Version: 2.11 and running WordPress 4.6.1
I am trying to add text on top of a slider image. The Portafolio template has already a slider embedded in it but I am unable to find a way to add text over an image here. There is a caption option however the caption will not show text on top of the image on the slider page.
I have tried downloading widgets for photo editing but these don’t do the job as they seem to work in this template’s slider section, only in posts and pages.

Is there anyone out there who can help? I have contacted the developer of the Portafolio template, their suggestion was: Adding text would be easiest via a photo editor on the image, otherwise you need to edit content-slides.php But I am unable to find a photo editor that enables me to add text to a slider image, i.e.: something that is not embedded within a post or a page.

I hope I have provided enough information. Thank you in advance for your help.

I wanted to add a custom text with transparent box over home page slider image. Is is possible in your theme.
Second, can the slider image be converted into a sliding images.

Im not a code master, and have basic knowledge of Child Theme.Just trying to fix it on my own.

Hello WP support,

Thank u for helping me I have the following webpage https://www.mrfix.eu/zen/
you can see the background image of the guy which I have uploaded in the “Background Image –
Choose a background image for Title Area” underneath in the backend of the page.

I would like to have a textbox appear over the image on the left side. Currently when I add a text box via visual composer the text appears underneath the picture. Can you help? Im not very good with codes but if you give me one can you explain the steps as if Im a sheep? I have the ‘Bridge theme template’.

I’m trying to create several columns which display text written over background images, using visual composer. I’m trying to add the images as background images of the columns, but when I do this they don’t load when I preview the page, the column is totally blank.
