We were using the take (taken by) feature of flamingo to check who is working on which contact message/request. And it seems to be gone now. Is it discontinued? Is there a way to bring it back?

Hi there, WordPress forums.

We have recently run into an issue for one of our sites which runs on WordPress 5.4.4 with the latest version of LearnPress.

When someone tries to take one of our courses, this generally works fine if the window is maximised or resized to smaller dimensions. However, when the window is dragged to the side on Windows 10 (have not tried on Mac), so that it snaps to a split screen viewing mode, the button then changes colour slightly and becomes impossible to press. This also makes our course effectively impossible to take in these circumstances.

Does anyone know how we might resolve this problem? Thank you.

How to get rid of a featured image on a blog post

So I have a featured image set for some of my posts, which makes the home page look good, yet when I click on it, it will take me to the post and the featured image would lay right on top of all of my content. I would like to be able to set a featured image that would only show on the homepage instead of the post. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Secure pages taking too long to load

Any idea why it takes too long (like, about a minute) for the secure pages to load? Right now on the General Settings, only the Force SSL Exclusively is checked.

I’m using version 3.3.6 by the way.

Hi guys,
Sorry, am pretty new here, but some help would be much appreciated. Couldn’t find this in forums.

I have created a wordpress site https://banishedfromtheuniverse.com/
I did this online on wordpress.com

Now I would like to be able to run it from my computer (MAC).
I have installed MAMP, Text wrangler and WordPress on my computer and have taken a tutorial on how to get this all setup. However this starts me with a new blank wordpress canvas.

Is there an easy way of getting all the pages I have created online to open up when I open up wordpress from my computer?

Changes on dashboard do not appear on site

Hi!

I am new to wordpress. Every time I make a change in the theme or in a widget in my dashboard and then I go to visit the site the changes do not occur unless I log out from the dashboard and login again.
In my webhosting company first advised that there was a problem with the Wp Super Cash plugin that was still cashing. However, I deactivated it and the problem was still existing.

Also, I have tried to empty the cash in my browser or I have accessed my webpage from another page but the changes are not occuring. When I called my webhost company again they said that i have to refer to wordpress.

I’m working on a news portal-esque site and have assigned a custom field to each article (‘byline’) with the writer’s name. How do I call this custom field in my singlepost.php and index.php within my template? I’ve tried a few suggestions for code, but none have worked. Thanks in advance for helping out a noob.
