Should I change to a wordpress site

I currently am using godaddy hosting and am not happy with how the site looks. I am limited. I have alot of time involved and it is getting close to Christmas. Should i switch to a wordpress site now or wait until after the Holidays?

Apologies if this is a silly question or doesn’t make much sense, I’m very new to all this.

So I have a website hosted and built on iPower but I would like to redesign it using wordpress as the web builder. I understand I have to install WordPress via ipower, as they will remain my server, and in the process select the domain name that they are already hosting for us to link to the new website.

Is it at this point that the old version of the website will disappear? If avoidable, I don’t really want to have the website looking a mess for a day while I figure out my way around WordPress. Can the old ipower-built site remain live after I’ve installed www.remarpro.com via the server?

I hope the question makes sense. Please excuse my massive knowledge gap in this area.

I’m using Fatcow and trying to help a friend update her website. When I sign into Fatcow I get a screen on their dashboard that shows the actual website address and has a blue “Launch WordPress” next to it and there’s also a Sandbox. I want to work in the sandbox so I don’t disturb the active website, but do I need to hit Launch WordPress first? Or will that overwrite the active website with the wordpress template?

Don’t make fun of me! I’ve never done this before. Obviously!

Right now I just have my blog routed to WordPress. But I want to route my whole website to wordpress keep the theme of the blog, and just create a new design possibly by customize a theme for my website. Is that possibly? Would my blog become the face of my website? which I don’t want, but a page on my overall website.

I currently have a website set up through Weebly.com I am very interested in transferring this website to WordPress. I do not care about losing my blog info, etc. Any important company information will be saved and copy and pasted. My primary concern is how to transfer my domain name/hosting to WordPress. What is the easiest way to go about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
