[Theme: Nucleare] There is no "read more" but only the full post

Goodday,

I use the theme Nucleare and I thinks it is wonderful, but I have one question. In the demo I see that all of the posts show a little of the post, followed by a read-more button. On my blog I only see the full posts and I like the version with the read more button.

In the settings I have found the option where you can select the full post or a summary. But by both options the full post is visible at my home page.

What do I have to do to see the shorter version on my home page with the “read more” butten instead of the full post?

Ok, I am sure this is an easy answer if you know how and I have achieved it with other themes but for some reason finding it very difficult with 16.

My site is www.bengrovemarketgarden.co.uk

On the home page you can see it displays ‘Latest Posts’. I would rather have this displaying the full post with the most recent at the top instead of just the featured image and title.

How can I do this, basically if you click on the post displayed, the next page is how I would like the front page, I hope that makes sense.

I want in my home page and in some categorys pages, a summary of the post display with a thumbnail for each of them, flush left on my page. How can I make that? I have a child theme so I think I can make it in that way. How can I put one thumbnail in each one of my summary post in my home page?

I need change the widht of my main menu too. I like the menu smaller and in the centre.

I’m trying to change my home posts to excerpts only. I don’t see the loop.php folder at all and the index.php isn’t showing “the_content” for me to change to “the_excerpt”.

Please help.

Homepage Trickery

Hi Forum,

Relatively new to WordPress, on my 4th site now.

This client would like the homepage to contain a simplified listing of the latest blog posts, with just the title and first 100 or so characters. This would then link through to the full items.

I am getting pretty good with the code etc so just a general point in the right direction is required.

I have checked off summary in the For each article in a feed, show box in the Readings Settings. However the full text is showing for my post on my home page. Is there something else I need to do just to get a summary of the post?

I have newly installed WordPress 2.2 and it is up and running https://blog.erealmedia.com but problem is that it is showing full post on home page. I want only few lines of each post then with read more…. links. Also I want pagination at the bottom of the home page. I don’t know why I am facing this problem with this theme which I downloaded and installed recently.
