Private Content applied to outgoing subscriber plugin email

Can Private Content restriction shortcodes, as applied in a post, restrict the post in the same way when using an email subscriber type plugin so that the ‘raw’ unprotected text is also restricted? A user on my blog asked if I have a way to email new posts, comments, etc., such as subscribe2, and I hesitate to use one because when tested, posts with PC shortcode restrictions do not maintain the restriction when emailed out.

Not sure if this is possible. Just thought I’d ask before answering my user.

Thank you in advance for your help. I have adjusted the e-mail templates through the Subscriber2 Settings. When I publish a new blog post, it sends a notice successfully in a beautiful HTML-based e-mail. Yay!

I’m also using HTML for the confirmation notice and unsubscribe notice; but they are showing the HTML code instead of the design.

Here is an example of the confirmation notice. Any advice about how I can get the two notification to work properly?

Subscribe textbox for non wordpress users

Hi. Is it possible to display a widget with a textbox (for the a email addy) and ‘subscribe’ button? The ALO Easymail Widget is only for registered wordpress users. I would like anyone who comes across the site to be able to put in their email address then click ‘subscribe’ and automatically be added to the newsletter list?

Return-to Default Page

I’m currently using the Dandelion Theme. The site is

I cannot find any information on how to set up the correct return-to default page once a user confirms the subscription via email. Currently, I have only two pages on my blog: HOME and ABOUT and two external links.

Under Subscribe2 | Settings | Appearance, there is an item labeled:

Set default Subscribe2 page as ID:

with a dropdown box to the right. Unfortunately, the only items the dropdown box contains are ABOUT and MAP. Oddly enough, I don’t have a MAP page, so I don’t know where that’s coming from.

Again, I’d like to have the user returned to my HOME page. How do I do that?

On many WP blogs I have seen a feature something like “subscribe via email”. How do I incorporate that feature into my own WP blog.

I have the “subscribe by feeds” feature only.
