Issue with Subject in Email after Form Submit

Hello.
I am using “Form maker” plugin and recently ran into a problem. In the letter after submitting the form, incomprehensible characters appeared in the subject field, for example:
=?UTF-8?Q?=D0=A2=D0=B5=D1=81=D1=82=20=D0=BE=D1=82=D0=BF=D1=80=D0=B0=D0=B2?= =?UTF-8?Q?=D0=B8=D0=BB=20=D0=B7=D0=B0=D0=BF=D1=80=D0=BE=D1=81=20=D1=81=20?= =?UTF-8?Q?=D1=81=D0=B0=D0=B9=D1=82=D0=B0=20tks-service=2Eru?=

I am using Cyrillic characters and it has been fine. In this case, the form data (also in Cyrillic) is normally recorded in the database, Database encoding is utf8. The email body with form data is fine too.
Please help to solve the problem.

Hi,
I would like to add user nickname to the subject field to welcome the user to a new feature.

I try to add [[user-nickname]] to the subject field but with no luck…
It works fine in the text field.

Any suggestions?

Hi, I have a few contact forms all with almost the same information in. In the subject field I have the words “Task Sign Up” as a placeholder, my question is, is there a way to make that subject line unchangeable by the user of the form. I do not want the user of the form to be able to change that subject line, either change it or add to it?

A little help from you guys.. since you updated the plugin i am having so much problem on the subject thing ..

before .. when i receive the email.. i can easily see the subject of what the sender put in at the subject field.. but now… all i see is “no subject” .. i also tried to put this tags on the backend [your-subject] on the subject field see this https://screencast.com/t/2Y1yVgrBEXy7 but if i receive a message the subject is still [your-subject] .. see this screenshot

Configuration error found?

Hi I’m getting a “1 configuration error found” message. When I go to the Mail settings I see the “Subject” field is blank, and below in red text it says “This field can be empty depending on user input.” Soooo do I need to add something or ignore the error message? Also I’m not even sure if this is the error, how do I know?

Contact form 7 not sending mail without the subject field

I have created a contact form but have removed the subject field. Surprisingly as soon as I do that the contact form stops sending mails to my email address.
Why so?
I want to create a form that only collects name, email and tel and no subject. Why cannot I do that?

Hello

I’m using Contact Form 7 and wish to have the subject field of the form already filled out with text, for example ‘Interested in Offer’

According to the Contact Form 7 site, https://contactform7.com/faq/how-can-i-specify-a-subject-for-the-email/ you can just edit the subject field in the mail section, however I have tried this in as many ways possible as I can think of and the text never shows up in the subject box on the contact form.

Any ideas?

Contact email subject garbled if site title has apostrophe

Jetpack Version 3.1.1
My site title is something like this: Church Men’s Choir.
Using the Jetpack contact form the email subject was junk. So I removed the apostrophe from my site title and the problem was solved. However I now have a problem with the apostrophe police unless I make my site title Church Choir of Men.

Name, Email, Subject wont align

The Name, Email and Subject boxes on the contact form wont align. Each field is half a step below the previous one. How can this be changed so that they are in line? You can see the problem here: ameliemettenheimer.com
