I thought StudioPress was reputable developers, but no. This plugin is not correctly internationalized and is not compatible with multilanguage sites. A shame really.

This theme looks very interesting coming from Brian Gardener the creator of the celebrated Genesis StudioPress Framework and Themes. Genesis is one of the only themes that I know that has built-in SEO features obviating the need for third party, bloated SEO plugins. @BrianGardener please consider adding this feature to your new offerings.

Display post excerpt on Book Series archive page

Is is possible to display the excerpt for each book in the Author Pro plugin archive pages? The default view shows just the title for each book, but we’d also like at show a short book’s excerpt underneath. Since the Author Pro plugin appears to be no long supported, is there an alternative way to display the custom category posts that are currently under the “Library” Author Pro plugin?

Maps not working

Hi,

I’ve been trying several approaches to creating and using the Google Maps API Key, but none seems to work.

Google Maps documentation is confusing, kind of assuming it’s only for developers, so I’m probably missing some step or (doing unnecesary steps).

Could someone point me in the right direction?

To my understanding, I should only need an api key created on the Google Maps platform and add it to the “Real Estate Options > Google Map” Menu.

Do I need to create the domain for the api key? Do I need search console control in order to create the api key? What am I missing?

I’m using Genesis Sample theme, which is a very standard and updated WordPress theme.

Genesis Block Migration Reminder

Hi.. Migrated to Genesis Blocks. Removed Atomic Blocks plugin and still getting this message. This is appearing on every back end screen. Kind of annoying once you already done the required.
Please fix this issue.

“Welcome to Genesis Blocks! Would you like to migrate your Atomic Blocks content to Genesis Blocks?: Button Migrate Now”

If I click migrate by mistake it again navigates to migration tool screen. Once you are done with this tool, it should hinder again in middle.

WooCommerce Shop is showing Zendesk page??

Any idea what’s happening here? I’m using WooCommerce-enabled Studiopress template. It was all super-easy to set up… and then I clicked to view the shop and got this weird message about needing to install Zencart.

There are NO Zencart plugins on the website.
All the actual product pages are working fine.

(Side note: I’m going to sort out the SSL certificate)

Any help appreciated! My first thought was it is a phishing page and we’ve been hacked? I’ve asked the hosting tech support for help but they are unlikely to respond on the weekend.

Visibility widget does not show BOOK pages created with AUTHOR PRO library

Hi there,

I am using Jetpacks Widget Visibility module to control content only to be displayed on the sidebar of selected pages.

Working with Author Pro theme / Genesis framework from StudioPress

Problem:
BOOK pages generated within the Author Pro library, unlike the other generic WP pages & posts are not displayed in the drop menu of the Visibility Widget to select pages.
Only STATIC pages are displayed in the drop down.

How can I fix this?

I have been using StudioPress/Genesis for so long that I didn’t even know about GeneratePress.

Tried it, loved it, going to use it for all my websites.

As with any theme, there’s a learning curve, but GeneratePress is overall very easy to use and if you find something confusing, the support is super helpful, professional and friendly!

Highly recommended.

Update plugins older Studiopress/Genesis Template

I have a Studiopress older Template called Decor. Runs on Genesis 2.2.2, which is max and run on WordPress 5.4.1. max There are new WordPress 5.5. and Genesis 2.3.1, who are telling me to update. But what happened if I do that? I know nothing about coding.
What should I do? Question to Wordfence. If I sign up to the payed version, can you solved my problem?
