This is a remodel I’ve been working on for a few months now, let me know what you think…..

I made made the mistake last time of not managing everything with WordPress. This time it’s been rectified!

]]>Any feedback/suggestions about the site are appreciated. But mostly I just want to thank the “powers that be” and the fantastic bunch of folks (that’d be y’all) who provide and support vigorously WP. The active forums and plethora of plug-ins drove my choice of WP as the backend for Charles’ site — and I’ve no regrets.
My search, and ultimate choice, was a long and painful one, so if any of you are on the fence about using WP I fully recommend taking the plunge, it really is a decent engine to build a custom site atop, and the learning curve is reasonable (I explored everything from Mambo, CMS Made Simple, TextPattern to commercial software before deciding WP).
Anyway, mosey over and click around, then let me know your thoughts.
Oh, ginormous props to the folks behind the installer – I eliminated several other packages at the get-go purely on the basis of klunky installs.
Oh, failed to mention what the site is: Charles collects old (yes, “vintage?? and “retro??) kodachrome slides and shows them on the site, as well as delivering sold-out slide shows at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, plus he’s published several books featuring the slides as snapshots of days-of-yore, I was skeptical at first, but after attending one of his presentations where I and the audience had tears of laughter I was really excited to work on his site. It’s too rare to have a client you honestly believe in what they do, and such has been my working relationship with CP.
There, an explanation and a plug. Bonus for me!
