I really enjoy the features of this plugin, but on Lighthouse it’s by far and away the heaviest plugin I have running- giving a return of over double the blocking time of any other script requests. I have a bunch of modules and widgets disable too in the pro version to speed things up. Really enjoyed making the product filter, checkout elements etc. Can recommend this plugin for it’s useable features, which apart from the speed have never let me down to process sales. I would like to see it develop and become more streamlined for sure. I’ll stick with you as I got great support one time too with a plugin related issue.

it works great except for the fact that with the latest two releases of wordpress it slows down site performance to a crawl.
any ideas what could be done about that?

streamlining options across multisite

I am trying to decide if multisite is the right option for me – I am looking to create a website where a select amount of people will each have their own blogs that feed into a main page that is organized by categories – ex are news, events, advice – and so on. Almost like a magazine layout on the homepage. Each individual blog should be able to have an ‘about’ or profile page. So I would like for the look of all of the blogs to be consistent, with options to upload logos or images on each blog. How easy it is to ‘lock down’ the ability to edit the templates, etc – I essentially want each blog to have limited permissions – is that a simple thing to do?

Footer colors changed suddenly, how to revert back

The footer section that has three widget boxes on my Streamline theme blog https://2-copper-coins.com/ is now taking on the same white/gray background color as the body and primary sidebar. Originally it was the dark gray of the background and the text for our disclaimer was just a faint light gray on a dark background. At some point in the last few weeks it changed and I can’t figure out why.

Any ideas? I apologize if it’s obvious, I just played around with backgrounds enough that changing the widget background color doesn’t do what I’m trying to get it to do and I’m at a loss.

Debit card with preauthorised payment plug in

Hi all!

I have been building a website which specializes in rental equipment.

I am currently looking for a plug in that will allow me to process transactions INCLUDING a pre authorised transaction (if this is possible!). Instead of taking a large deposit (￡300) i would rather not have to take a deposit however be able to charge the clients debit card IF they don’t return the equipment?

I know that pre authorised transactions are common place with rental companies/hotels etc however i am not too sure how to go about it online. Any help or advice would be very very much appreciated.

Constant Server Errors – which problem is it?

I have three WordPress websites, all hosted by streamline.net. Because I travel I am often on a mobile connection but all three suffer from constant internal server errors. One blog is ten years old with many hundreds of blog entries, one is a new database with just a few entries. The third is my wife’s and she can’t even update plugins as the internal server error message keeps popping up. We’re at our wit’s end.

How can I establish what is causing this problem? I keep lodging support tickets with Streamline who come back and tell us there is nothing wrong with the service, but I have read elsewhere that they are not very well regarded as a host company.

Could the problem actually be that we’re on a bad internet connection, and that the connection keeps dropping out? We certainly don’t have problems with other websites, though I suspect many use their own server whereas we’re on a shared server. If it is the connection, what is the technical reason for it dropping out?

Or could it be a crappy shared server that simply isn’t dedicating enough bandwidth to us?

Any pointers gratefully received.

Receiving Post in email after Subscribing

I have the plugin working on my website using SP Streamline, www.cprmedia.net and I subscribed to test it, made a new blog post but did not receive the post in email. Did I miss something? I’m using Mailchimp.
