Static homepage not showing, deleted blog posts (hello world) showing instead.

I have made a website using ocean wp theme. The problem is that even after selecting Settings > Reading > Home page. my Homepage is showing the default theme twenty-two theme and the page is blank. (already deleted theme twenty-two theme). Where in theme customizer the home page preview is showing fine…
I also deactivate & reactivate the plugins.
I also changed the theme several times.
I cleared the catch of my browser. but nothing happened.
Please help.

Created home page under “Latest Post” & now have no static home page

I have made a design that I am in love with for my home page. The only issue is that I have created this under the homepage settings of “show your latest post” and therefore do not have a current static web homepage. Is there away to convert this into static homepage?

Hello!

I’m newer here (: I was wondering if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction. I’m looking to create a website in which when you first go to it, it is one of my images and when you click it, it open up to a very large menu and each of the menu options has a picture behind the words.

Static front page not showing…. AGAIN!

Hi Guys,

I just want to alert you and say that i still have the problem. The static front page is not showing up.
It is the exact same problem that is happening in this link that ive attached.

Now the thing is i followed the procedure in the link. For that i had to re-install wordpress in C-panel and rebuild my site. I lost all the data in the mean time. Now this happening again is gonna be a real bad thing for me as i have to get this site up and running shortly.

You need to help me figure this out. I haven’t installed any plugins. But this is the second time this week this is happening. I have a lot of data on my site and i would hate to have to redo the whole thing again.

Any tips WordPress Support?

Using a Custom Field with static front page to disable RH sidebar in twenty sixt

I’m a relative novice and wish to find a way to optionally disable the RH sidebar for the static page setup thus using the entire page width for the main body of the page content.

Is this possible with relative ease?

I found a post that suggested using a custom field for V3.x but this doesn’t seem to work in 4.4.2 using twenty sixteen.

Comments would be appreciated.

When I select my homepage to a static homepage, the featured image disappears. If I remove the static homepage setting, the default post page is selected for me and I loose my featured image. Either way, my home page looks very bland at not at all like the demo pages.

Hello all,

I’ve recently stumbled into a great JQuery full screen slider that I’d like to use as a Static Page to my website.

On the developers GitHub, I am able to download the plugin and there is also a note on usage.

I have a front-page.php file and I’ve uploaded the jquery.superslides.min.js into my js folder. In my functions.php file, I have also done a conditional check for whether or not we are currently on the front page, and then I proceed to enqueuing the js file.

slider doesn't work static page

Hi,

I am using simplemag as a theme and i would love to have a static front page. But whenever I use my new home (page with section latests post), I can’t get the slider to appear. No mather what box i tick in the post itself (add to homepage slider, add to category slider), it won’t work. I feel like I am forgetting something. I did exactly what I am suppose to do when installing the static page, but it just won’t appear on the front page.

PLEASEEE help me cause I am pretty close to crying.

I am trying to add different images and text to my blog static page and there is ablack and white line that keeps cutting it off. I have already removed all of the borders and added a code that was suggested but it is still cutting off my images. PLEASE HELP!!

I am new to wordpress. I create a my own custom-homepage.php and use this as a separate template file my template file name is

I (use the page.php code for my custom-homepage.php) removed sliders, sidebar which are not required for the page.

Now i need a unique design to my custom-homepage.php excatly like this
