Do I need to make a back up in StartLogic? I’ve created a backup with UpdraftPlus in WordPress, which is uploaded to our Google Drive.
What steps do I need to take in switching hosts to make sure we don’t lose any information for our website or mess up the functionality?

]]>I am new to wordpress and have been trying with no luck, to install it. I currently have hosting through StartLogic and have tried their 1-click install which did not work, tried the wordpress 5 minute install and also the detailed install- with no luck!
I changed the sample-config file to config.php and put in all the correct information. I then uploaded all the files (but not the wordpress folder itself) to my root directory. When I go to: https://traditionfoods.com/wp-admin/install.php (my domain is traditionfoods.com), I get a message saying: The specified module could not be found.
What am I doing wrong???
]]>I’m trying to get a plug-in going which requires an api key. I’m not sure if one was ever mailed to me since I installed it via startlogic. The blog address is https://kmtrio.com/KMBlog/
I read the tutorial posted by Otto and also the api support page given by WordPress.com. I have not figured out how to get to my “personal settings”, there is no “my account” button on the top of my screen.
Still worse – when I try to aquire my key via the given link:
https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=grofiles-user-settings
it tells me my user name is invalid. Username works fine when I login from my blog to admin.
Again – thanks for any help. All the best – Kenny
]]>I want to install WP as the main site,
www.domainexample.com (not a subfolder or sub dir)
I deleted all the old html files and images, public_html dir, and dropped in WordPress 2.8.4
Next I created a database (Database is on domainexample.startlogicmysql.com) and for this example i will say,
Name: domainexample
I made wp-config.php and changed the DB name, username, and password (left localhost alone) and uploaded to the site.
Normally at this point I would load www.domainexample.com/wp-admin and continue the install but all i see is a ‘404-file not found’
hmm.. can anyone shed some light on this? I’m totally stumped.
]]>My home page now again works (startlogic went in and edited my files and got it to work) but now my pages all still dont work, and also, I have no way to log into wordpress!

Please help me, i really need to get this up and running as its been down for a week now!
Here is what startlogic tech support did: (used domain pointing in control panel, which i suspect could be causing issue?)
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us.
I apologize for the incorrect information previously provided. There was a .htaccess file in your Web directory which I have renamed. This also was causing the error.
The domain: bedford-ny-real-estate.com was pointing to the ‘public_html’ directory which has no index file. In order to show the contents in the Web site, I used the ‘Domain Pointing Manager’ available in your account Control Panel and pointed the domain to the folder ‘wordpress’. Now the Web site: https://www.bedford-ny-real-estate.com/ is working fine. Please check.
If you have any further questions, please update the Support Console.

]]>I want to install the upgrade.
I uploaded all of the files & folders to the File Manager in Startlogic, but I must have missed something – I am unable to access admin/login and run the upgrade/installation process.
I get a white screen.
What can I do.
