Scan Failed – The current scan looks like it has failed

Our Wordfence scans are stalling or hanging, showing the banner message “Scan Failed – The current scan looks like it has failed…”

Following the process @wfmargaret oulined for @adrian1592 in another recent post on this problem, I turned on debugging and started a new scan. The last 20 lines before the scan failed are below. I also sent a diagnostic report (actually I sent 2, as the forum moderator didn’t post my first request as it was a comment on @adrian1592’s post instead of a new post, so I had to do the whole thing again).

WP Migrate Lite stalls at Migrating media files…

I used LocalWP on a development project earlier this year and would like to move some simpler WordPress sites I maintain to that platform. Two are hosted on GoDaddy and when I start the migration, the first step goes quickly and the percentage and byte count behave as expected. The second step, “Migrating media files” hangs after calculating the total size, i.e., after half an hour it’s still at 0% (0.00 B / 626.39 MB).

Anyone here have suggestions on how to debug this, or have success migrating a fairly straightforward GoDaddy site? Thanks in advance.

Stop sending after some time

Hello and thank you for a good plugin.

Since upgrading (or before I’m not sure, using the latest version) the plugin stops sending out the newsletter. I have 350 subscribers but after 144 has been sent the plugin stops. It is not a limit of the webhost since I’ve checked that.

I used both ‘WP mail’ and ‘PHP mail’ for sendigt. I use a external servise for cron jobs and don’t see any issues there either.

I now have to go to Reports-sceen and click ‘Send now’, wait until sent and then click again and again until the newsletter has been sent to all.

Glad for any suggestions or help.

Does not complete the process

I see a lot of 5 stars and I wish I could also give them the same. However, my experience was that the process did not complete. It is actually stuck at 78% and does not move forward any longer from there. It looks like they have the right intentions with this, but it doesn’t work for me. And I simply don’t have the time to send and wait for a support ticket, when I planned to complete these tasks by the end of the day.

I installed it to help me move faster, but instead I have to dismiss the whole plugin because I have about 5 to 7 sites to migrate, and I cannot have this same mistake happening on every site. It took too long to process, it never completed. I ended up having to go back to the old plugin I used to use for migration.

It did the backup, but it failed when I initiated the migration via the link it provided.

Stopped working on FireFox after update to 1.63

After the latest update, all I get are animated loading buttons on a white background when I visit the site in Firefox. Works fine in Chrome, and in Android web browsers, haven’t tested it in Safari or Edge. I already tried disabling all FireFox extensions, and viewing in a private window to bypass the browser cache, but no luck. This might have sterted after an Nifty Coming Soon earlier update – I seem to remember another recently, and I don’t think I checked the site after that one.

Stopped working/ Can not load anymore

Hi,

Just got the plugin and it worked perfect. However, after adding a few recurring events the whole plugin killed the site and stopped working. I deactivated the plugin and tried to switch it on. This takes hours.

It is on now but I can not use it. WP keeps hanging when trying to click on a menu item. We updated the server with more memory but something seems to go wrong here.

Any solution or way to reset? I love this plugin and would like to buy some extra’s but since it doesnt work anymore I am afraid that I need to find another one (that will be the third one..)

Sync stalled – emails not sending

The Sync Status (final step) of setup has been stuck at “in progress” for 2 days. Mailchimp indicates that the site is connected successfully via the API and this plugin, and allows me to set up the automated campaign, but no emails have sent (I’ve completed several abandoned cart trials to test). Something is stuck and there are no options to re-start the sync process, or docs how what to do if it stalls. I’m not sure if that’s why my abandoned cart emails aren’t sending, but that’s all I can think of. I wish MC had spent a little more time with this plugin before release, because it seems like nothing but problems. How many people have actually got it working?

Scan not finishing

I’m having problems with my new Wordfence installation.

My problem is the same as many other users in that the scan’s aren’t running to completion. About 10 seconds into the scan it just stalls and will stay that way till I manually kill it.

I am on a litespeed web host, and have already followed the instructions here which didn’t have an impact. Although, as an interesting aside, wordfence is still giving me the following warning in options: “Warning: You are running LiteSpeed web server and you don’t have the “noabort” variable set in your .htaccess.” Though I followed the simple instructions without issues…

That asides, I’ve also tried the instructions here.
The instruction:
Go to the bottom of Wordfence “diagnostics” page.
Click the option to view your configuration.
Look for max_execution_time
Set the “Maximum execution time for each scan stage” to about 80% of that value. So if it’s 90, try setting the option to 75.
Try another scan and see if that works.

In “view your system’s configuration in a new window” I could find max_execution_time, but it was just a display in a table, not for editing. I’ve looked around but I can’t find the place to make changes to “execution time for each scan stage” that the instructions seem to be alluding to.

Can someone please give me some more detail on where I can find this, or, if possible, help me to configure the plugin or my wordpress so that I can successfully run scans.

Backup to Dropbox not completing

Updraft Plus 1.12.4 (free version) is not completing backup to Dropbox account. It keeps attempting, but has not been successful. Has worked on this site prior. I have the latest log file for moderator to review.

Twitter feed does not refresh in free version

The Twitter feed in the free version does not refresh. I would love to get this sorted out, as the client really wants a Twitter feed with pictures and would pay for a pro version.

Here’s an example I’ve created of two Twitter plugins side by side. On the left is Feed Them Social, on the right is Really Simple Tweets. You’ll see that the right one updates to tweets from more recently, whereas FTS begins from tweets weeks ago.
