Just taking a chance here… I have a ton of texts. I would like to display one of them in full view on the left half of my screen, and the right half would be filled with either a list of titles, or teasers.

Or, put differently: a two-column screen, with one full text on in the first column, and a list of teasers in the second column.

Can this be done? Most probably yes, but since I’m extremely new at WordPress, I wonder if someone can give me a hand (or a pointer).

We have recently run into an issue for one of our sites which runs on WordPress 5.4.4 with the latest version of LearnPress.

When someone tries to take one of our courses, this generally works fine if the window is maximised or resized to smaller dimensions. However, when the window is dragged to the side on Windows 10 (have not tried on Mac), so that it snaps to a split screen viewing mode, the button then changes colour slightly and becomes impossible to press. This also makes our course effectively impossible to take in these circumstances.

Does anyone know how we might resolve this problem? Thank you.

In the page and post editor in the wp admin, instead of the normal wysiwyg and text options filling either way the entire text window, you get the scroll bar running down the middle of the text window, the html showing on the left half, white on the right half, and missing things in the upper part of the page like view page, button dashboard (partial)…

I have changed themes, reinstalled themes, deactivated all plugins, and still the problem persists. Then I reinstalled wp 4.6 and had the tech dept check the wp core files and reinstall them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh I am using the Jolene theme. But it occurs on the default themes too.

But none of this affects the front end, so its a nuisance to the admin primarily.

I’m typing along on any page or blog post and should I scroll down, after a while, the bottom two rows of the formatting tools moves into the middle of the screen, covering part of what I’ve typed. You would think for a long post this would be helpful, but I can’t link text to someplace else because the link icon doesn’t show. I scroll back to the top of the page, and the formatting tools still show only the bottom two rows. There is no scroll bar alongside the tools, so I’m sunk. To see all four rows, I have to update the page, but there is no guarantee that this won’t happen again, esp. if the link needs to be made at the bottom of a long page. This has been going on with previous versions of WP, also when running Windows 7 and now 10. I think I wouldn’t mind the split screen if ALL of the formatting rows would move as a page lengthens, but they don’t. Seems like a verified bug that I hope can be fixed. Thank you.

I like to split the Joblist with Job-Title an Job Field like on this Site:

The <!--more--> tag will split the Screen in two content.

But it will only show the current Job on the left and not the full list of Jobs, similar to the “Joblistenvorlage”.

Hope you understand what i mean.
Left Side the Joblist and Right Side the Job_field.

And don′t say: “You must use the Widget for that!”. This one will not correctly work for our site, i have tested.

How can I revert it back to the old way of just a single EDIT page showing up, instead of all the layers, etc?
