Please see screenshots: the suggestions from translation memory highlights parts of string without any difference, but there are always characters like apostrophe or accented letters.
My default language is Italian.
I never used “Automatic Translation”.

Any help?
Thanks
When there is a navigation page link with a special char (ex: ? or ®):
in default language navigation bar there is a link but in translated language navigation bar the element it not a link.
How to solve o workaround without remove the special char?
Thank you,
Best Regards!
This morning, I had to restore yesterday’s database due to an attack on my website. The restore process was successful, but since then, I cannot add users with special characters in their id. I get an error message that says (in french) :
Erreur?:?cet identifiant n’est pas valide, car il utilise des caractères non autorisés. Veuillez utiliser un identifiant valide.
I’ve looked at all the WPUM parameters, I cannot find where one can prevent users to have special chars in their id. So where should I look ?
dienP%23$12345
then there will be a warning / error on user side that the passwords don’t match.
Also:
when I use as password with 9 chars:
dienP%23$
there will be a warning that a minimum of 8 chars had to be used
It seems that there is a bug with special chars?

If i remove the / () special supporting characters everywhere then it works , but this is not really what i want. I use the text between the () to individualise items.

foreach( $recent_posts as $post_item ) : ?>

<?php endforeach; ?>
I end up with messed up titles as long as the post title contains special chars like ??ü.
I had no luck with preq replace. Not sure if I did anything wrong.
So how could we get rid of this stupid special chars and replace them with html entities?

Since the last update 4.3.4, today so, special chars “; appear into the body tag of all my pages.
I noticed that by deactivating all the plugins and then activating them back, one by one, the special chars appear again.
Can you fix the problem please?
Thanks in advance
I have this symbol “; who appears in the body of all my pages.
I do not know where it comes from. It just appears today.
In the web inspector, I deleted all the things (div, script, comment, …) that do not contain the symbol. And then I’ve seen that the symbol is into the body tag.
What I see in the web inspector (before deleting content) :
<!–[if IE 7]><![endif]–>
“; here is the symbol

I have no idea why this symbol appeared suddenly here.
I use Avada Child theme and Toolset plugin so I never edit PHP files by my own.
Recently did the WP 4.7 update and also the plugins that are linked.
I’m working on an other website at the moment and I don’t have this problem so I might think that it doesn’t came from an update.
Anybody help?
