I would like to know how to modify the display_organizers function present in the app / librairies / skins.php file in order to add the image to the front page of each organizer.
How do I display the speakers for each event in my shortcode?

Sorting Speakers

I’m using the MEC speakers module. No problem entering speakers and having them display in various places. The problem I’m having is that I can only seem to sort them by first name. I really need to display these in a manual, or possibly last name order. How can I do this?

I’ve set up speaker pages for an upcoming event that I have but the pages for individual speakers are just coming up for 404 errors. I just discovered this very helpful feature today but it’s very disappointing that it doesn’t work. What can I do to resolve it?

Hi, first of all, thank you for your work and this plugin.

We have an event to display with four distinct editions in four distinct cities. I need to categorize my speakers to display them by city.

As there is no speaker categories, do you think it’s a smart idea to add a meta in speaker and create multiple display pages (one by city)?
Or an another idea maybe ?

Guests versus Hosts

I have found the information on changing the speakers label to guest. What I am now curious about is if there is a way to segment the participants further. I would like to have a specific person as the host (ours changes on occassion) and then list the Guests after that. However I would still like the great function of being able to click on the name and bring up their information to be available.

Is that possible?

Hello,

I am using your plugin to control a Conference session schedule + Film Festival

I have created a separate custom post type for films, to separate it from session information, to make sure we can archive it differently.

Anyway, for Films, I’m calling in session information, including the speakers list as a Post Object. I’m using the same bit of code used for the Page template and it gives me everything correctly (Thumbnail, Post Title) except for the_permalink. It keeps giving me the permalink of the current page that I’m on.

Have been trying several things but can’t seem to figure out how to fix this.

First of all thanks a lot for the much appreciated plugin and cool themes.

What would be the best way to have a list of speakers for different conferences?

So there is a coming conference with speakers on different sessions. that’s all fine.

But there is also a past conference and we’d like to present an archive and a list of the speakers that were there.

So the session can easily categorized (and are differntiated by date anyway) but for speakers there seems to be no way of showing a list of speakers for each conference or conference day.

How would it be possible to manage a list of speakers for different conferences?

I am unable to add the headshot of the speakers because the “featured image” box is not showing up in the editor. Could someone tell me how to get that par of the post editor back?
