I’m working on a project that requires an event calendar and I’m testing your plugin for the development of this project and I came across the following problem. The plugin adds two speaker categories automatically in English and when translating to Portuguese and loading the page the plugin generates the speaker and organizer categories again. I understand that I can translate into a certain chosen language with the Polylang and Polylang Theme plugins, but there is no need to install two plugins just to translate four strings since the project will not have other languages so I would like to know how can I remove this action to have the name and slug in our language? I’ve tried to remove it in several ways and I couldn’t, the only way I managed so far was commenting line 39 of the file wp-event-solution/core/speaker/hooks.php //add_action( ‘init’, [$this, ‘ add_default_speaker_categories’], 99999 ); but this is not a good practice as it will be undone when the plugin is updated. So how can I do this via the theme function?
Sincerely,
Gilvanilson Santos
Could you help me solve it?

One minor issue has been that the speaker notes and time controls did not show. I have tracked this down to them using the default body spec in speaker.css which has color #fff; and corrected it by adding color #000; to .speaker-controls-notes and .speaker-controls-time.
Not sure why the body would be white on dark, and maybe I could just have changed that. I look forward to seeing and using future developments of the plugin.

By the way, *thank you* for adding back in the date field for sermons.

]]>Does anyone know why the speaker name link is going to a 404 page not found error page rather than a list of episodes by that speaker on our website?
Clicking on the link takes you to the website url followed by /speaker/speaker-slug which is just an error page e.g.
https://www.christchurchuk.org/speaker/james-crawford/
The series link takes you to a page showing all the episodes in the series, I had assumed the speaker name would do the same!
Any ideas?
Thanks
]]>This solution is working so far. But we can’t sort the list correctly. Because some speakers have a title in front of the name-part, so they go to “D” (Dr.) or to “P” (Prof.).
If we could split the textfield to title, firstname and lastname we could display a sort able table instead of a list: https://www.pharmacon.de/veranstaltungen/sprecheruebersicht/
How can we split the title of categories? Or is there a better solution for using speakers in events (without losing the possibility to get the speakers overview page and speaker-single-views)?
