It doesn’t matter how much space I put between lines of text in the editor (that is, it doesn’t matter how many times I hit ‘enter’), when I preview my site, or visit the actual page, there is zero space where I’ve done this. In the editor it looks exactly how I want it, but on the actual page, it looks like crap, because all the lines are snug up against one another instead of spaced out.
I know I can change the padding or what not in the css, but I don’t just want more space between lines, I want to be able to use my enter button to add space where I want it.
I stumbled onto a ton of other threads going back as far as five years ago asking this same question. I refuse to believe that going into the text editor and manually adding

before and after every line I want to separate with space is the most efficient way to do this.
There must be a better way! Can I really not use the enter button to create space in my pages?
Please help. Thanks.
I have seen other threads on this topic, but I unfortunately wasn’t able to locate what to change in my theme’s css.
I’m using Sydney theme and the space between paragraphs just looks a little close – not the end of the world, but it would be nice if there was a little more breathing room.
Thanks a lot,

HELP!!!!!
#post-area {
color: #333;
float: left;
font: 17px/19px Cambria, Verdana, Sans-Serif;
overflow: hidden;
position: relative;
width: 610px;
}
I tried adding in the lines below, and was then going to play with the size but these do not change anything:
margin: 10px 0;
line-height: 14pt;
Any help is appreciated. Thanks for looking.
The only problem is that now, my blog posts look much worse than they did with the old, Blogger feed: there are no spaces between the paragraphs and the pictures aren’t aligned correctly.
I’ve looked around on different forums and haven’t found anything that’s been resolved on a WordPress forum with this topic. I did find a suggestion to see whether the posts look good in Google Reader, so I checked and they do look fine there…though Google seems to be behind the times and may be still subscribing to my old, Blogger feed (which apparently it will update within a few days), so I can’t be sure.
Can someone please give me advice/things to try? Keep in mind that I’m still a beginner at html, css, and all the rest. Thanks very much.

I’ve altered the
line-height and that didn’t change anything. I’ve pretty much tried to insert line-height into everything I can think of in the CSS, all to no avail.
Here’s a link: https://societrends.com/
As you can see, I seem to have two choices: No space between graphs, or a large space.
Thanks for your help.
