Something we’ve noticed on many sites (not just the one we put in as a link) is that the Social Meta is very hit or miss. All of the sites we build are custom themes utilizing a lot of Advanced Custom Fields. So not all pages have “featured images” available. As such, we typically select one of the other available options (eg: first image in content). We also have a fallback Default image. Facebook seems to be a bit random in choosing what image is displayed. Totally understand we’re all at the mercy of Facebook when it comes to trying to exert control over how links we post looks over there, but just wanted to see if anyone else has run into this and if they found any work around. Right now we actually have it set to featured image as we wanted blog posts to continue to have their proper images, but Facebook is choosing to show an image from our navigation menu instead. Thanks in advance.
]]>I love the free version of your plugin and just tried to use the Open Graph Settings, too. Unfortunately, while editing a page, it appears only as a text link and not as a tab. The link is clickable but nothing opens by clicking and the fields for “og:image” and so on don’t appear, however, the URL is changing to &action=edit#aioseop_opengraph_settings.
I assume it’s related to the theme I’m using (Barista, Edge Themes). Is there any possibility (e.g. by adding something to the function.php) to enforce the tab-system (mayhaps then the fields will appear…)?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
István
I see the Social Meta for pages and posts, not for the CPT.
In the pages and posts, there is the second tab for the social meta, facebook, link to facebook debugging, etc.
Hey, I just want to get it active.
Any ideas?
Thank you!
]]>I have an issue with Social Meta, I have properly setup metadata for social media, in the social meta section. I set my Facebook page URL, Facebook App ID and Facebook App Secret and also set my Twitter username. But when I audit my website with WooRank, I get an error. “We couldn’t find a Facebook page for https://www.wikihelp.in/ defined in your structured data.”. You can see the image below.
I also check my website source code, but I can’t find my Facebook page URL, but the Twitter username is present. In the WooRank audit, my website passed the Twitter metadata check. “Great, we found a Twitter account for https://www.wikihelp.in/ and it’s defined in your structured data.” I check social meta settings again, everything is well configured. I have also checked more than 20+ popular websites that use the Rank Math SEO plugin and I find the same problem in every website. I had been using the Yoast SEO plugin for more than 5 years but I have never faced this issue. I think, this is a Rank Math SEO plugin bug. so please help me to fix this problem.
]]>In one site I have the Social Meta > Image Settings menu. In the other one this menu is missing.
Why? See image here https://ibb.co/m4dbS1Z
Plugin is up to date in both sites

]]>I just ventured within the Social Meta add on, filled up and linked all the appropriate images (linked the images from a folder in the root server) for the Open Graph along with the right dimensions, yet when I did a test and published a Tweet including a link to the website, it didn’t post the Card nor any image for that matter.
I’m wondering if there are additional steps needed for it to work as it should be?
]]>Firstly, what a most excellent plugin! So many tiny little bits of information suddenly fall into place – I scrapped dozens of lines of code after enabling it! Much joy, very wow.
That said, I do have a slight problem with the social meta results on my homepage. We’ve opted to show our recent posts on the homepage, rather than a static page. As a result, the post details of the most recent post are being shared when our homepage is shared on the socials.
This might just be an unavoidable fact of life. The loop will never stop running on the homepage, and it will always return the first post. It’s certainly not the end of the world! I just thought I’d check that I wasn’t missing a trick somewhere, though, and I couldn’t find anything specific to this in the documentation.
I would assume this would also be an issue for any archives, but that’s not necessarily an issue I need to address…
Thanks!

]]>I’ve been looking for a way to select an Open Graph image for Pinterest but can’t find a setting for that. Since Pinterest uses quite different image styles for pins than Facebook for posts and so on, I would like to choose a different image than the featured image for a rich pin. I see a setting for a custom Twitter Image, so why is there none for Pinterest? Am I missing something here?
I also validated our site for Rich Pins but when I add a Pin on Pinterest and choose the website URL I get to choose which image (from the ones on the site) I want to use for the Pin which is not exactly what I want.
Is there a solution for this without installing another plugin?
Cheers.
