Now I can see you are dropping legacy support very soon. The problem is the new views do not work with my site still.
The conflict is with the Smartmag theme. Deactivating all plugins has no effect. Switching to a default theme (twenty twenty two) makes it work, so the problem can be said to be an incompatibility between the Smartmag theme and The Events Calendar plugin. I have both Smartmag and The Events Calendar fully updated.
Could you look into this for me? There is no Javascript error I can see in the debug console. If you look at the html on the page you can see that The Events Calendar has not loaded at all on the appropriate pages (no containing divs etc). What I get is just a blank page on the /events/ and single event pages.
I can provide links privately to the site in question.

This is the code I get on the page that is different but can’t find where to disable or change it:
/* CSS added by WP Meta and Date Remover*/.entry-meta {display:none !important;}
.home .entry-meta { display: none; }
.entry-footer {display:none !important;}
.home .entry-footer { display: none; }
]]>Now if I go to admin to create a new sidebar for homepage, the Widget page does not load fully and in source I can see following:
“Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home/fpjnet/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1889”
To debug, I disabled “Custom Sidebars” temporarily and widget page started loading as expected.
What might be causing the issue? I am using WP ver 4.9 and SmartMag ver 3.1.1.
Please help.
]]>my site is not showing the navigation menu anymore.
I’m on SmartMag theme, not the most up-to-date version (before updating the theme I need to tidy up quite a lot of files) but the theme has always worked perfectly, plus this issue I’m having is not coming after a change in the theme nor after a WP update.
Additionally to the navigation menu not showing, I’m getting this Warning
Warning: Illegal string offset ‘custom_css_post_id’ in /home/content/n3pnexwpnas01_data02/84/3490184/html/wp-includes/theme.php on line 905
Of course I haven’t edited the files in wp-includes, and also I think I shouldn’t, the problem must stand in the menu declaration of the theme, even if it’s really weird that the issue appeared all of a sudden.
Already tried to disable all plugins, the issue remains.
Do you have any tips for me? This issue is really annoying me.
Thanks,
Manu
I’m looking to find out how to extend the header image/revolution slider on the Smartmag theme so that it is the full width of the webpage.
How do I do this?
Thanks,
Arthur
]]>To preface I want to say that I am brand new to wordpress and my skills are woefully limited but I’m a trier and I’ve been trying to figure this out and search for results before posting on here but alas, I’m still stuck.
I’d like to start a blog with a magazine style theme and I’ve found some that I really like, one being smart magazine. I’m looking for a template that has masonry style featured posts under the menu bar. Like this colormag one
The theme I’m using (smart mag) is very similar to this, however when I install it, my blog looks nothing like this. Is there a way to do add featured posts in that style? Or is it something that I’ll only be able to achieve with a premium theme? Or only with coding?
Thanks so much for your help, I do hope I’ve explained myself well enough!
Lil
]]>The website is imlit.com . It uses the SmartMag theme. And the slider that is being used is, I believe, flexslider.
Any help at all is greatly appreciated.
