Long story short it would appear the performance of my site is hindered by many things. One of them being an element img.skip-lazy
This is excluding the image from lazy loading. I am aware that this sometimes happens above the fold but it’s appearing on all of my sliders. Is this something that can be changed with custom CSS or would I need to contact the plugin devs?
Note: I am doing that now and will provide insight here as well.
]]>I currently use a plugin called smart slider. It’s a fantastic plugin, nothing against it, but it seems to me that it slows down my homepage quite a bit.
So I am thinking of changing back to something more basic like the otter blocks slider.
Does the “otter blocks” slider allow me to upload multiple sliders onto one page with various images that will also change to different images when displayed on desktop, tablet or mobile?
Kind Regards

Any solutions or suggestions on how to go around this.
Thank you

]]>As soon as I turned off the Java Script optimization, the site worked perfectly again. I then excluded “Smart Slider” from the Java optimization according to the instructions on https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1976-cache-or-minification and also excluded the files mentioned in the CSS optimization. I also adopted the other settings mentioned for “Autoptimize” and “WP Super Cache”.
Unfortunately, without success, the slider images are displayed incorrectly and the error “500” is reported. That’s why I deactivated the Java Script optimization again. Are there any other possible solutions?
All applications are up to date, the PHP version is 8.1.
Best wishes
