I’m writing to you because I have a rather strange problem and I’ve tried so many things that I don’t know what to do.
I have a client site that was working fine. It was up to date.
From one day to the next, the plugins page in the back office started having major problems without any manipulation of the website.
First, it takes a very long time to load (2-3 minutes). Then when I try to update it, it’s so slow that it times out most of the time.
I’ve tried deactivating all the plugins to see if there was a conflict… that solves the problem for 5 minutes, then it starts again (it allows me to update the plugins, but it’s very tedious).
I’ve been unable to find the plugin responsible, as the problem seems so random.
I also tried to deactivate the theme. It didn’t work.
I cleaned everything up: database, folders, etc.
I called the hosting company who told me that the problem was on my side and certainly not on their cluster (even though they provided error logs)…
Important: if I make a backup of the site and put it on a local installation, I no longer have any problems.
What do I have to do?
Would it be worth replacing the WP core on the site directly? I’m afraid of losing everything…

I can also see that this function is called twice in page. WP Super Cache and Object cache are installed and object cache hit is around 99% but somehow this requets is out of it.

The site front end works fine, transit from page to page is at normal speed but in the admin backend “Pages” when we want navigate to edit the page content. The transition between “Pages” to edit page content took more than 13second to load into the editor page.
We are looking for Supporting documents/proofs to verify that this is cause by Windows IIS hosting so that we can go back rehost WordPress in a Linux Apache server. or is there a solutions to it? ]]>
Once the Yoast plugin is disabled, everything works fine with an average load speed of 1.5s (seconds) – 500ms (milliseconds), as opposed to 30s (seconds) when the Yoast plugin is enabled.
For now, the Yoast plugin will remain disabled until the author of this plugin reduces its effect on the loading speed.
Test your website speed when Yoast enabled & disabled and you will see the a huge difference.
]]>Thank you for the plugin, I was always looking for one, building one myself is out of question (due to limited tech skills) and the one commercially available are priced too high presuming everywhere is United States 
Anyways, installed the plugin today and immediately started noticing website slowing down not just on the plugin settings but on everything possible. What could be triggering slowness of the site?
