]]>I upgraded two websites from WordPress 3.9 to 4.1.5 as well as the Revolution slider plugin to version: 4.6.5 , because it had a security hole. (I upgraded to the latest WordPress v 4.2.2 in local dev / sandbox for testing purposes but there is still no improvement even on a local host). However since the upgrades the Revolution sliders for both website are extremely slow to load.

It appears to be a cache problem… How to remedy this problem?
Thanks,

I’ve been having major speed issues on my site since installing “Parker”. Basically the site was taking around 11 seconds to load a page. My host looked into this thoroughly and after being unable to find the root of the issue agreed to move my site to a new datacentre and onto a new database service etc.
After this – the load time increased a little but not by much at all. I tried reinstalling wordpress and it fixes the site for a short period of time – literally like 6-8 hours – and then it starts to slow again until I reinstall 3.8 once more.
I’ve tried switching off all plugins, running with default theme etc etc but nothing seems to speed the site up at all apart from reinstalling wordpress. I considered rolling back to 3.7 but figured I’d get a forced update at some point?
Anyone else having similar issues or know why this would be happening? The site is at https://www.phuturelabs.com
]]>I’m at a loose end here. My site goes up and down in response time between 1-2 seconds to 30+ and even timing out.
My site here thepainbarrier.co.uk is hosted on Godaddy.
I’ve called godaddy a couple of times and both times they have said there has been some ‘maintenance’ going on at their end and to wait a couple of hours.
The last time I called the GD agent said that my site has concurrent connections of 200+. This is unexpected I would imagine 10-20 at one time and max 100 per hour.
The GD agent said that it may be a problem with my sites scripting and ‘the connections are not dropping off as people leave’.
I have not altered my theme so can’t believe this to be true, but also I can’t find much on the web. Does anyone have any insight into this potential problem at ‘my end’ and what might be causing the issue?
PS. I’ve done the usual deactivate plugins, reactive one at a time and can’t pinpoint any conflict.
Thanks

]]>It is taking 45 seconds to a minute JUST to log in…never had that before. Updating posts can take almost two minutes.
I don’t have this issue with any other site I use such as Facebook, Gmail, etc. so it is not my connection or server speed.
Please advise…it’s killing my productivity in a huge way.
thanks,

My site https://events-management.biz/ has a slow to load problem.
The problem is that once you click on the url above or any page in the site you get 6 seconds of pause before the 1st byte is loaded.
Why is this 6 second pause happening? It’s the same in Safari, Chrome and Firefox and on different computers and connections.
If you create a test page it loads instantly – then, after a few hours it too starts taking 6 seconds to load the 1st byte
You can see this at:-

I am trying to track down if this is a server problem, database, wordpress or wordpress theme issue.
I’ve noticed that my control panel on my domain is fast and normal. This makes me think that the problem is with WordPress or the database or the theme, not the server.
My server support desk tells me they have no issues and, after looking at this issue they think it’s wordpress related.
Link below is a pdf of a speed test where you can see the 6 seconds of pause before the rest of the page loads.

Also this is a youtube vid of the problem.

Any idea why this might be happening.
I am a bit of a novice.
Thanks
