Slow loading for wp admin

Hello,

My wordpress website started to load very slow sometimes for me (admin). Usually it loads very fast but sometimes it don’t even load. I just must wait for a very very long time, to refresh it for N times to get to my website.

The only one thing which I remember that I changed in recent days is migration from LAMP Ubuntu 20 to Openlitespeed Ubuntu 22 and converting all tables from MyISAM to InnoDB.

Also sometimes I get PHP error in Query monitor: strip_tags(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($string) of type string is deprecated+

How can I diagnose my website to find where is the problem?

Slow Checkout loading

I’m not sure when this started being an issue, but the checkout page will load very slowly when using Microsoft Edge with this plugin active. It seems to be working fine on Google Chrome.

The issue is caused by the huge amount of cities being added to the City Select element in the billing/shipping forms. For Romania, that is about 13000 cities, and it halts the page loading for about 1 minute while it’s creating and adding all those options.

This only happens when there isn’t a county/state already selected. If there is a county/state selected, the City Select element will only contain the cities from the selected county/state, which is fine.

I don’t understand why all the cities need to be added to the Select before the page is even rendered, since the City Select will be disabled until a county/state is selected, at which point the City Select element will be populated with the cities from the wc_city_select_params javascript object. So we never need all the cities to be present in the select.

My quick fix was to comment the line 147 from wc-city-select.php, which says this:
array_walk_recursive( $cities, array( $this, 'add_to_dropdown' ) );
If no city is added to the $this->dropdown_cities property, no option element has to be created. I’m sure there is a more elegant solution, but I needed something that works, and this works, without breaking the existing functionality.

I have used this plugin for the users to convert the currency but it takes a really long time to get the page loaded like 10-12 sec which is making my user experience really bad for the users on the site. I have added a dropdown on the header of the site from where user can change the currency they want to purchase the product in.

Hello all,

I am having a problem that is beyond my ability to figure out from what I’ve been able to find searching online.

I am trying to add a product gallery section to my product page, but the main image is taking FOREVER to load (the thumbnails load fine, but nothing happens when I click on them). I am using the Hello Elementor theme (version 3.0.1). I tried disabling all plugins and it worked fine until I turned Elementor back on, then it wouldn’t load. (Granted, nothing else on the page looked right before I turned Elementor back on, so I don’t know if it was even creating the same issue)

Site has become very slow to load recently

Hi, I have been building a website for a friend now for nearly 3 years, it is huge, 70+ pages and a mountain of images, all of which I have reduced to a size that should load at a reasonable speed.

Now that I have that out of the way, in recent months, the site has become incredibly slow to load, both on the front end and the back end, to the point where I open something and then go away and do something else while it loads.

I am completely unsure if this started after one of the many recent theme updates, or it is a server issue (it’s with Bluehost), or maybe my internet connection, even trying to upload images at times has become a complete pain.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Wordfence is causing a long delay in loading site

I have discovered where the problem lies though am unsure of the cause.

My webserver error log has this..

PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /var/www/html/blog.timxjr1300.ddns.net/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/lib/parser/lexer.php on line 520

I will disable WF for now but maybe that’s worth investigating?
