Site Loading Extreme Slow But Shows 100% On Speed Tests

Ok so a few days ago the admin/dashboard started loading ridiculously slow without me doing anything to it. Now the front page is loading slow as well *when I click on any links* but GTmetrix and Page Speed Insights show a near perfect score (see image) and this is driving me crazy…I re-set all the litespeed cache settings, made sure I’m running the latest version of PHP, checked to see the CDN (Quic Cloud) is working, checked to make sure Gzip is working, all of my images are WebP & compressed to the smallest size and I’m also running Autoptimize with Litespeed, and a database optimizer as well, as I have been from the very beginning. What I can not figure out for the life of me is what went wrong or what happenned…I installed the “remove WooCommerce Bloat” but that actually knocked a few points off my page speed test score so I uninstalled it. Also, my logo in the header is not showing on mobile versions- not showing on an actual phone, in the customizer it shows fine.

PLEASE HELP lol….I’m at a complete loss here. I know my way around the dashboard, I’m familiar with editing files, CSS, some JS, never had anything like this happen. And most of the forum responses are “make sure you use a cache plugin” or something like that (which makes it worse)…..

I did turn off all the plugins and ran the 2023 theme I think it was, the default WP theme and it was very fast & snappy, as soon as I clicked the links the pages loaded…I don’t understand how the Botiga theme could be the problem because I’ve been using it for over 3 months with no serious issues.

inconsistent loading page from a location to another

Hi,

My website has been working well for over a month with no issues since i moved to private hosting with upcloud. Since last Friday, i have been experiencing inconsistent loading times. Sometimes a page would load in 1.5 second then a min later it takes 40 secondes

I Also noticed that loading page time may differ from a device to another

Moreover everything seems to work fine when testing the website on platforms such as gmetrix or google spaceflight with B grade and more. All this said, these platforms only connect from Europe or US. I connect from Tunisia. So may be the issue is just local.

I’m clueless as i don’t identify any pattern here.

Nb: I have already tried deactivating all plugings and it did not ameliorate the situation

PNG icon slows down the site

Hi,

In my social media icons I use costum icons (png files). Now it seems (also when testing my speed of the site, although it s very empty, that the facebook icon png causes a slow down of the entire site. I tried removing, and adding under another filename. And I changed the links where needed. But there seem to be an error still. Also when I use the rightclick to inspect my site.
What happened and can I solve this? Or is the slow time due to something else?

Suddenly extremely slow loading time – failed to load resource

Hi everyone.
My website: here was working fine until suddenly the load-time became 50-200 sec. I have deactivated all the plugins, changed the latest of my changes back, changed my theme back to default – still, nothing changes.
With chrome inspector i can see that it has trouble loading som of the resources and has net::error_connection_timeout
Is there anyway to see what is causing the error?
I can’t seem to find the answer on Google.

Website page load speed issue

I have a website hosted on Godaddy Windows server. I have added MH lite theme over it and applied everything related to page speed like WP Super cache, lazy load, image optimization, database optimization but the response time from server or time to first byte is continuously high near about 4-6 secs and whole website takes 10-14 sec to load. I am losing half of my visitors daily as they close the page after 5 seconds.

Now after applying caching with autoptimize plugin the page speed have improved from 14 secs to 3.5 secs according to every web page speed testing site but when I empty site cache and try to open it then it takes more than 14 secs to load the page for the first time. Which means new users will have to wait more than 14 secs to access the page after that caching will take care of it.

Please explain what is happening?

Hey guys!

Lately, since a week or two, our website is having a serious issue. With an average load time of 12,61 sec, we have urgent need to speed up our website.

We are currently using Salient’s theme and a couple of plug-ins including W3 Total Cache (see full list below). I have tried to optimize our database (went from 60 Mb down to 40 Mb), deactivated all plug-ins, tried other themes, reinstalled WordPress and went from WordPress Super Cache to W3 Total Cache. None of them improved our loading speeds.

Other WordPress websites on our VPS loads within 631ms. You say what? Yes, indeed, 631ms according to GTMetrix. Our server specs: dual core Xeon (10% CPU load on average), 4 GB ram, cPanel (NGINX instead of Apache, XCache, ModSecurity, DSO handler), total websites: 5 WordPress installations with (an average) of 1.400 visitors a day. That shouldn’t really be the main problem at the moment.

Our error_log is for example only 2kb (created at 10-01-2015 and our .htaccess has been entirely rebuild from the bottom to the top. That being said, I have no clue what’s left.

On my page https://booxalive.nl/co-create-booxalive/ your plugin is not centered. I did not filled in a specific width, to keep the responsiveness.
Is it possible to center the FB-box?

And is it normal that the plugin takes a lot of loading time (the box appears as the last thing, only when the whole page is loaded)??

Loading admin-ajax.php takes 3-6 seconds

I have run www.pingdom.com and it reports that admin-ajax.php takes sometimes between 3- 6 seconds but is only 763b in size, and loads after everything else.

What can I do to improve the overall site loading time? I have reduced the Plugins and images to the minimum.
