I’ve looked into this and the link is actually there in the HTML, but it’s displayed outside the containing div and not visible. This is the HTML:

[View a slideshow]

... etc
The CSS in ngg_basic_slideshow.css at line 83 has this:
.slideshowlink {
margin: -34px auto 50px;
text-align: center;
text-transform: uppercase;
}
The negative top margin is pushing the link above the containing div, which has style overflow: hidden
so the link isn’t visible. If I set the top margin of class slideshowlink to zero using dev tools the link becomes visible, but I think there must be some more fundamental problem than that.
I don’t think it’s a theme or plugin conflict, but I did try switching to the twentytwentyone theme and it didn’t make any difference.
I can’t provide a link to the page as it’s only visible to logged in users, and only members of our Association are allowed to have accounts.
Here is the page with the gallery:
christianboyce.com/murchison3rdgrade
The link shows up on my page, and it has the expected URL–
christianboyce.com/murchison3rdgrade/nggallery/slideshow
But… when I click that link, instead of seeing a slideshow (which I believe will be an automatically-changing slideshow) I am taken to my site’s homepage. How can I make this work?
Thank you–

I am trying to create a slideshow with images, description and a link. I added all the information for each image but when I preview the slide show, the image and title and description show up but the link I put it is not on there. I would like the link the title and the image also.

Here I used the NextGen Basic miniatures, with the ‘show slideshow link’ at ‘Yes’ (Dutch: diavoorstelling tonen).
So this link appears at the top of the page. But when you click on that link, nothing happens.

I’ve installed NextGen on https://www.quayconsulting.com.au/news/2014/04/thank-you-for-your-support-at-endureforacure/ and all went fine, except that the link above the gallery [show slideshow] links to a non-existent gallery (https://www.quayconsulting.com.au/news/2014/04/thank-you-for-your-support-at-endureforacure/nggallery/slideshow).
I’ve gone through each section and the only place that references [show slideshow] is in the “Basic Slideshow” settings. I’ve turned that on, but no dice, turned it back off, still not working.
Any idea what setting I’ve missed?
Thanks!!
Rebecca

I simply want my slideshow images to link to different pages within my site. I have tried adding the NGG custom fields plugin and modifying the main plugin core files (which I hate to do) and have spent almost 2 hours searching the web for solutions…
PLEASE tell me there is a simple solution for this??? Seems like it would be a common request, but apparently not.
and to be perfectly clear, i’m wanting this functionality on my SLIDESHOW, NOT on a GALLERY.
