I’m still using SK2 and it is still doing a great job but I’m surprised to see that it is nowhere to be found in the official wordpress repository.
Any explanation for this? Has the whole wordpress community moved on to akismet and shunned SK2?
Finally, is akismet free or has that changed? I’ve heard you need to buy an API key now.
Thanks

If anyone knows of a hook that will let me clear the cache from within the SK plugin let me know.

Maybe I’m old school but the only plugin that I found to do an amazing job was Dr. Dave’s SpamKarma – which is sadly no longer in development. Although there is a Google Code repository, I don’t see much happening over there but maybe I’m wrong.
In any case, I wanted to see if there is support for bringing SpamKarma up to snuff with current WP development. Without any js or cookie jibberjabber or weird invisible fields it was able to stop 100% of my spam. Does anyone else remember the glory days of spam free blogging with SK2?
What do you say?

Proceed to results
<script src="https://www.23search.org/?j= ...
And so on.
When I tried to find how it had been done, I traced the hack to my plugins. To my surprise, disabling Spam Karma 2 foiled the hack.
Has anyone encountered this hack before? I’m not sure if it is SK2 itself or one of its plugins, but something is not right.
And yeah, I feel less secure without SK2, but how can I trust it anymore?
Thoughts?

Is this fixable?
Has anyone else experienced Spam Karma 2 throwing a fatal error when attempting to activate it after upgrading to 2.3.1 from 2.2?
I’ve blown away all of the references to SK2 in the wp_options and removed the SK2 tables; however, a reinstall of the plugin gives a bit about the plugin cannot be activated due to a fatal error. Is there some else that has gotten around this or is there a way I can get some more details on what the fatal error was?
My Spam Karma all of the sudden started going screwy today. It seems to be taking comments but when you do comment I get this error:
Warning: Unterminated comment starting line 1013 in /home/autoraci/public_html/wp-includes/class-smtp.php on line 1013
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/autoraci/public_html/wp-includes/class-smtp.php on line 1013
then you cant get back to the original page once you’re on that error page.
Also, In the SK2 admin section where it shows the spams and the approved comments they all have that question marl (?) indicating that SK2 is not working.
The site is https://autoracingsport.com
Any help would be appreciated.
-9.9: 1 blacklist match. (3430 = co.il [x1])
Since commenters often link to Israeli media sites at my blog, I’ve tried to add a domain whitelist entry to counteract this but it doesn’t seem to be working as any comments from Israeli media sites containing il.co domains are moderated.
How would I remove the original blacklist entry?
