I’ve installed Polylang and enabled three languages. Now, the sitemap includes all the pages for each language, but the main domain URL is being duplicated three times in the XML sitemap. How can I fix this?
https://insight.com.lb/page-sitemap.xml
The URL settings in Polylang:
The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks
Example: https://insight.com.lb/en/my-post/
Thanks
]]>I’m having a hard time finding documentation about WordPress core’s Sitemaps feature. I only recently discovered it was built into WordPress core. The issue I’m having is I used demo content to speed up learning how to work with an Elementor theme. While I was setting up a Google Ads campaign I noticed it suggested pages that I had no links pointed to and figured out sitemap.xml included everything on the site. After setting the demo content to drafts, I noticed other pages that I need excluded.
I have a landing page that I’m running Google Ads campaign too. I only want the traffic from the Google Ad to flow to this page as it contains special pricing for the target audience. This page is exposed by the sitemaps.xml page, and anyone curious enough to view it. How do I exclude my special landing page from sitemaps.xml? How do I exclude special user accounts (like vendors, other admins, marketing team members) that are not allowed to be exposed by sitemap.xml?

I manually checked, and I can access the sitemaps! There is no block. Why is google detecting one sitemap but not the other. Tried waiting for weeks!

then you can see that sitemap is in the sitemap_index.html

So how can i remove /gva_template-sitemap.xml
from /sitemap_index.xml
? I can code so happy to use any snippets, but didn’t seem like any of these would apply: https://developer.yoast.com/features/xml-sitemaps/api/#exclude-specific-posts
Also tried this for another error for the shop
page but don’t see how i can use it for this. I guess i could use that code in that link with the page_id
s for this and the others but if i can just exclude the sitemap from the sitemap, that would be better.
Any thoughts or advice?
Thanks,
Ben
I’m facing an issue with managing translated URLs in the sitemap based on an ACF field. Here’s the situation:
The ACF field is a multi-selector with values corresponding to languages: en, es, fr.
For example, I have a test post selected only for “en.” Ideally, only the English URL should appear in the sitemap. However, it seems that TranslatePress prevents this unless I enable “Exclude translated links from sitemap.”
When I enable this option, I can’t seem to add the translated links back into the sitemap.
Any suggestions are welcome.

https://localhost:8888/es/blog/post/test
https://localhost:8888/fr/blog/post/test
It seemed like a good option, but I see that it doesn’t work for sites with many publications. Previously it worked with other Sitemaps plugins without problems.

This is VERY IMPORTANT for my portfolio pages

I also see the attributes in sitemaps (for example: xxxxxx.net/pa_battery-voltage-sitemap.xml). Is that correct?
Thanks.
