Sitemap not found/not working

When trying to find the sitemap on the site using the /sitemap.xml page it just shows a message.

“This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.”

The page is blank below.

I have tried deactivating the plugin and reactivating it. I have tried turning on and off settings in the sitemap area in the settings. I have flushed my cache and saved permalinks.

we use this plugin for sitemap.

our all sitemaps are working but 2 sitemaps not working (https://apnnews.in/sitemap-posttype-post.2022.xml, https://apnnews.in/sitemap-posttype-post.2021.xml).

Please check and update.

Sitemap Not Working

I am facing this issue from last 3 months. I have posted many times in this community to get solution but my issue is still alive.

What I want?
I want to index my post normally in hours as Google is working for my other sites.

What is issue?
Issue is that, Google is not even trying to read any sitemap. And if Google doesn’t read or work properly with sitemap then it will take 5 to 10 days to index new URL. I’ve experienced this.

What is happenig with sitemap?
When I submit the sitemap it shows the last read date current but number of URLs discovered are not correct. Because these 230 three months ago, these are same now.

And, Google Search Console doesn’t show the child sitemaps (i.e post-sitemap.xml or page-sitemap.xml) in sitemap index.

I’ve also tried submitting child sitemaps and other sitemaps separately, unfortunately Google is not trying to see all of these sitemaps.

I’ve tested my sitemap with sever response checker, and also checked all other things which are mentioned on internet.

Please help me find out the issue and solve it, I have tried everything but my issue is not solving.

Sitemap Not working

I took a look at my sitemap and notice that there’s only one page in my sitemap (Contact page). None of my posts/images and other pages are showing. Tried many possible fixes, such as Changing post from private to Public, running the setup wizard again, reinstalling Rankmath, but nothing seems to work.

When I use domain.com?sitemap=1 all of my posts are shown in the sitemap but only my contact page. However, when using sitemap_xml within the WordPress dashboard only the contact page is popping up.

Would post my domain, but having some issue with Cloudflare.

Hello, I’ve notice the Sitemap function shows only 5 urls but I have many posts and more than 5 pages. There’s no error it just doesn’t create them. Not sure why or how to fix this? Ok I’ve just found my issue so please ignore this post. Got it working.

Google XML Sitemap only shows 154 of 6.5k+ pages

My sitemap is only showing about 154 of my site’s 6.5k+ pages. I am considering moving off this plugin as I’ve tried so many different settings and forum/help suggestions but not had any success in getting my pages into the sitemap.

sitemap_index.xml half working

Hi everybody.
My sitemap_index.xml is made up of post-sitemap.xml and page-sitemap.xml.
While post-sitemap.xml seems to be working as it should be, page-sitemap.xml type is marked by Google Webmaster Tools with a question mark and is always showed as pending.
I have tried many times to resubmit the sitemap both as a single sitemap_index.xml and as two sitemaps (post-sitemap.xml and page-sitemap.xml) with no result.
Can anyone help me please?

Sitemap Looks Wrong

Hi, I installed this ‘Google XML Sitemaps’ by Arne Brachhold plugin some years ago with no trouble. The sitemap on that site is still looking good.

However, on my new site the sitemap doesn’t seem to have added any of my pages. I have gone a bit blank as to what to do.

I have added the tag code to WordPress header. I then verified with Google and all seems well (I got a nice green tick). Google isn’t showing any errors.

What have I forgotten?

Can anyone help please?

Sitemap not Updating Properly

Hello,

The sitemap is not updating properly on my site. There is also a difference between what is shown for the “www” and “non-www” version. I last posted to this site last week (May 2014), yet here are the sitemap pages:
