I am not sure where to begin. I have made slight editing changes previously with success. We had a hacker put up some blog posts. My boss disabled the blog – I was told. I can see our info on the pages in admin, but nothing is actually displayed on the site. I don’t know if it is related to the hack, what my boss did, both or neither.

I’m not a coder. I did deactivate and reactive the plugins. I ran some updates without making any progress.

My WordPress website is experiencing white screen of death for unknown reason.

The problem we are experiencing is very new to us. We did not experience this ever before with our website or with our web server (in last 8 years). Just recently for last 2 week we have this issue and it happened over 3 times.

Problem Description

Our site is experiencing “White Screen of Death”. We do not see any error. Please see screenshot for better understanding.(https://i.stack.imgur.com/chSOi.png). its just that. The site just tries to load but cannot.

Findings : what we have done to fix this

We can fix it (temporarily) if we reboot the server (restarting the whole virtual machine).

But this is not a viable solution . As we have other WordPress and non-Wordpress websites in that server which does not have that issue. And rebooting the server means all sites in the server are down for 5-10 minutes. After rebooting the server site comes back and works fine as usual.

But This problem occurred at least 3 times since last week. We cannot replicate the error by clicking on any page. There is no particular time of the day when this happens.

Further information :
The only significant change we can think of is upgrading the PHP version for the site from 5.3 to 7.2 in our web server. FYI we have upgraded the PHP version last month. And for approximately 3 weeks we have not seen this or any other issue. The wordpress version of the site is 4.9.1

We have tried to look in to the error log at the time of the problem . but we could not find any thing relevant.

I am really blank and do not know where to look at. Can you please advice ?

Content Load but Doesn’t Show except Header and Footer

Hello,

I recently built a website and when I load it the content loads but it doesn’t show in the browser. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. Some times if you refresh it a few times the content shows, sometimes not. It’s very, very weird.

Cannot get to Dashboard

I cannot access my dashboard. Also I have to type in the correct password over 4 times before I can get access to site.
I have cleared cache, done virus check, all ok.
I can reach the stats page, but the Dashboard never loads.
Using IE and Firefox, same problem.
Not sure which version of WordPress.
Help would be appreciated as this has only happened last few days, fine before.
Also get these messages sometimes “The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.” in firefox
and Unable to display page in IE.

site loading after activating plugin

Hello, I just installed the plugin on my site. While I realize it will take a day or two for the ads to show, I’m concerned that the browser indicates the site is still loading even after the site is up.

This doesn’t happen when the plugin is deactivated.

How to find file/code calling http image request

On looking to minimise my site’s loading http requests. A few requests come back as errors (and they aren’t needed). I can see the URL of the image which is attempting to load, however I can’t find the css or php file to delete this call / request. Is there a way to identify what file is requesting the image?

One of 22 sites slow to respond

I run 22 WP sites and I have one site that is slow as slow can be on every computer I’ve tested it on. www.johnhoosehunting.com is the site. I’m being told by 1&1 my provider that it runs just fine on their systems. I’ve reset our AT&T router here and cleared caches and it still runs so slow sometimes it won’t even come up their response was:

“Regarding to your concern, we have checked your website and we found out that you are using a word press for it. Please be advised to check the content/script of your website. Please refer to word press forums about the causes for your website to upload slowly. However on other case on 1&1 servers, there is no problems with our server.”

What does uploading have to do with downloading the site for people to see? Are they just putting me off does anyone else have problems with the site loading properly?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

HTML code showing up on my wordpress site

Although it is not happening on my computer, a friend of mine showed that my wordpress site (liberationfromthelie.com) is showing up with visible html.
