First choice would be to allow the user to be sure it’s the right way up when they upload, second choice would be for us to easily edit that photo after it’s uploaded. For now all I can do is download it, rotate it in an image editor, and re-upload it. That takes a lot of time….
Any good options to fix this?

Problem: submissions from Iphone to the map, the images always appear sideways
I’m running into this image issue with uploading locations with images from Iphone. I have the Pro Version 1.2.13. I tried searching for a fix on WordPress forums, but I think the issue is within uploading images through the map plug-in on Iphone, since I have no problems editing the images on other pages on my site on WordPress, just within the Open User Map plug-in.
Here’s the issue:
Adding a new location from Iphone: Uploading a location from iphone with an image always appears sideways on the map
Adding a new location from computer: uploading a location from computer with the same image appears the right way
This isn’t fixed by editing the (Iphone) submission from computer, needs to be a whole new submission made on computer.
I read somewhere that the problem may be with the image’s EXIF data, but this isn’t fixed by installing a “fix image rotation” plug-in.

Is anyone facing similar issues or found a solution? All help highly appreciated.
Again, thank you for this plug-in and hopefully we can work this out!

All of the photos I imported are upright and when I go to my media tab, they are look upright as well.
How do I get all of the photos upright?
I edit the photo to flip it the right way around and then add them to my post and they are still sideways. If I edit them in media gallery to be flipped the other way I can make them look the right way in the post but they only appear correct in google chrome or on a mobile.
I really have no idea how to fix this. I have searched the forum and can only see other issues with mobile posts, my mobile posts are fine.
Please help!!
We had a few people complaining that the committee member photos were displaying sideways. Desktop looked fine. I happened to look at that site a few days later on my iPad and saw the problem. All photos on this page are sideways if you view it on an iPad.

I just logged into wp-admin and looked at both the photos in Max Galleria and I also went to Media to check those photos. They were rotated to portrait (through MaxGalleria) after being uploaded.
Does anyone know an easy way to correct this or do I need to re-upload every one of those photos and put the names on the new version?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Mary
My blog is read by family and friends, and about half of them report that portrait-style pictures appear skewed and horizontal. On my laptop and desktop, as well as in the dashboard, my posts look exactly how I want them. The only people who comment on this use apple mobile devices (iPhone/iPad).
I realized today that the iPhone/iPad automatically corrects the pictures that I upload, so if I leave them alone, they appear perfectly on these devices! However, if I leave them alone without rotating them in my media library, all other devices (including my own) read it as a sideways picture.
I tried uploading a plugin for image rotation fixer, but activating it resulted in an error and, when it did not have an error, it didn’t work how I thought it would…which was not at all. Maybe I’m not using the plug-in correctly?
Some of the forums mentioned fixing the picture and then saving it outside of the site before uploading. When I open my portrait pictures in an editing program, they appear correctly, so rotating them doesn’t do anything except mess it up. Is there a specific program I could use that would correct it?
I hope this wasn’t too wordy, but I tried to be thorough. I’m currently working on fixing my most recent post on my site journeyzest.com. Obviously, it’s extremely messed up no matter what device you use to look at it! I’m tempted to use only horizontal pictures on the blog and just skip figuring this out!
