wp-shortstat hack to display total hits on blog

i’m using wp-shortstat for my blog and was trying to write a simple function to display the total hits in the footer of my blog.

there’s already a getTotalHits() function in the wp-shorstats.php file; so it shouldn’t be that difficult to use it in my theme.

any suggestions is appreciated.

ShortStat doesn’t work

I downloaded the ShortStat plugin recently activated it and everything, but it shows no stats. Does it not work with 2.3? I’m knew to wordpress is there something I may have missed in activating this plugin?
I can check my stats from my C-Panel so I know I have had hits, but ShortStat shows 0.

This plugin used to work but it started showing up with an error so I got rid of it. I tried uploading it again and the same error.

I just downloaded his wp-shortstat plugin, i uploaded it in my plugin dir, and activated it via the plugin page, and it shows up as a tap on the dashboard. However it doesnt collect stats, everything is empty it is like it isnt logging. any ideas on why?

I installed the shortstat plugin but I show no hits at all. I’ve visited the site from numerous IPs. I’m on day 4 with no activity.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I’m using Shaun Inman’s Shortstat and wonder why I keep getting the following error message under Last Keywords and Last Referrers:

Warning: parse_url(file://C:\\Documents%20and%20Settings\\yaron\\Desktop\\linkswhore.html): Unable to parse url in /home/.aquarius/mycasserole/mycasserole.net/wp-content/plugins/wp-shortstat.php on line 655

The stats are showing up but these messages are kind of irritating. Anyone knows how I can get it corrected?

Is there an information page for ShortStat that explains what the hit-catagories mean?

For instance, what’s the diffence beteen plain ‘hits’ and ‘unique’ hits; what is the ‘refereres’ list telling me; and do any of the catagories tell me if someone stops to read a particular post?

If ShortStat doesn’t do it, can anyone recommend another plug-in that will?

Short Stat Doesn’t Display Any Stats

When viewing the Short Stats page it is blank.No data shows up at all.This is the second blog I have tried this on with the same results.

Any ideas what the problem may be?

ShortStats problem with Feedburner

I’ve been running ShortStats for awhile and alls been good. Recently, I started using Feedburner and as part of setting that up, I made modifications so that all my traffic goes through Feedburner. When I look at ShrtStats, I can see that some of the areas are still updating but it seems that in the Resources area, updates are stalled. My /?feed=rss2 field has been stalled at 1162 hits every since I’d did the Feedburner mods.

Is there a way to tweak ShortStats so that it can see all the traffic going to Feedburner so that all of its fields will update as they did before?

PLUGIN: shortstat country cloud

I’m totally hooked on clouds!

I was looking at different types of data that might be cloudable and thought that certain types of visitor statistics data might fit into that category.

So, Ive completed a rough draft of a country cloud that uses your shortstats data, not wp-shortstats, but the original shortstats.

My primary purpose for not making this compatable with wp-shortstat is because (correct me if I am wrong) but that plugin doesnt utilize the IP to country features..so, it goes without saying, it wouldnt work.

An example of the output is viewable on the bottom of my front page.. it ought to be ready for downloading by the end of the week at the very latest.
