I recently encountered a 500 Internal Server Error on my WordPress site after making some changes to the functions.php
file. I was attempting to add custom code to disable a specific HTML element on my website, but when I tried saving the changes, the site suddenly stopped loading and returned a 500 error on the front-end.
Here’s what I did:
Can anyone help me resolve this? Any suggestions on what might have caused this error or how I can fix it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, I've installed your plugin and purchased an unlimited plan 2 days ago. The plugin detected over 35k of images that needs to be optimized.
After a day of optimization it stopped after about 10k optimized photos. I added a few more thumb sizes to be optimized and started the process again….
But, today i am getting Server error 500 when trying to visit Bulk Optimization page and Media Library page. At first I've tried reactivation and reinstallation, than I looked for the solution on the support forum and documentation but and neither solution helped (wp mem limit, max exec time, dont use imagemagick and others)
Here is a brief report:
Your Imagify Tools has reported "Attachments with invalid or missing WP metas 8" (red background)
A similar error has been reported by Query Monitor as well: imagify_has_attachments_without_required_metadata() Imagify\Bulk\WP->get_optimized_media_ids_without_webp() imagify_count_attachments()
I have to mention that, immediately after the first installation, plugin's pages and media library page have been very slow (over 30s to load)
Now the Server Error 500 is constantly showing up when trying to visit Bulk Optimization page although there are no active optimization processes.
Server Error 500 occurs on Media Library page as well but sometime it manages to get fully loaded.
There are also some errors by Imagify Tools logged in the debug.log, let me know if you want me to provide them here.
Can you help me with this?

I am hosting myself on a FreeBSD server that has worked fine for a year so far. This is new as a couple of weeks ago.
Any help appreciated,
Chris

All working great but the sitemap-posttype-page.xml give internal server error 500
Whats wrong?
It looks like the “WP Remote Post” method for retrieving assets via the Dashboard is not working in this environment. Since the server (from its IP) is making the call, it will not “behave” in the same way as the “Direct” method, which could bypass any authentication request (for example, if you’re using a staging website that is protected by login credentials).
Consider using the “Direct” method. If that doesn’t work either, use the “Manage in the Front-end” option (which should always work in any instance) and submit a ticket regarding the problem you’re having. Here’s the output received by the call:
CODE: 500 MESSAGE: Internal Server Error OUTPUT: 500 Internal Server Error Server Error 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator to inform of the time the error occurred and of anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

That’s what you can do
Reload Page Back to Previous Page Home Page
Also if i activate mode: Manage in the Front-end the client side of the website then on the front-end it goes into error 500 and does not show anything anymore.
Hi,
today I disabled WP-Optimize in the dashboard because some fonts were disappearing on my mobile that were displaying fine in desktop mode and I read online that it might have something to do with optimisation.
From the moment on that I disabled the plugin I was stuck with a Server Error 500.
I contacted my host who told me that there was maybe something misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration with the error log: …/wordpress/.htaccess: Invalid command ‘application/schema+json’
So I thought maybe the disabled plugin left code in the htaccess file that is causing the error while the plugin is deactivated.
I tried to comment all lines with schema+json out in the file (/* */) but it didn’t change anything.
I also tried to comment all the remaining lines of WP-Optimize out but I am not quite sure what does belong and what doesn’t belong specifically to the WP-Optimize plugin. There are no comments that would indicate this.
And whatever command lines I did exclude, the Server error did’t change.
As I can’t access the dashboard anymore, I thought maybe it is a good idea to simply reactivate the WP-Optimze plugin in the php server, but I am a bit reluctant to try it out, as I couldn’t find anything how the list works and if the plugin needs to be in a certain order.
The other things that came to mind were renaming the plugin folder to deactivate all plugins and doing the same for the Uncode theme. Or is there another way to fix the error without needing to disable everything?
If somebody knows what to do in such a case I would be grateful for some advice.`
Deleting .htaccess at matomo\ and matomo\app\ helps but this is probably not the way to fix it. We don’t want to weaken the data security at all.
Also, if I make it working by deleting the .htaccess files, the 5 buttons in Admin menu on the upper left side – Personal to Diagnostics don’t work. I click on them and nothing happens.
And I need to delete .htaccess in matomo\app\plugins so the reports show icons correctly.
Thanks!
In all, the project is worthless and has been for quite some time. One suspects that the authors are not very familiar with PHP. They could have this plug-in working perfectly with an hour of updating their code and they’re just not bothering to do so.
