Wrong Meta Description

Hi, I have updated the meta description of my homepage to get maximum SEO score (96/100). I found that Google/Bing is not updating it and showing incorrect meta description as well as image. May I know what’s the issue? I also submitted the URL for fresh indexing but nothing changed.

Search Results showing last results, not first – can only go to previous page

Please help – I installed Advanced Woo on my site and tried the results – I do have results (doesn’t show how many), and at the bottom it only shows “Previous Page” instead of “Next Page”

So – this may confuse a user and they may think I only have the items listed on that page. How do I get it to say “next page”????!!!!!

Endless new plugin search

Some weeks ago my ISP told me that my site was blocked as it was sending spam email. The ISP’s support gave me a list of my site’s file that his antivirus found as responsable.

All the files on the list were intruded so I changed the FTP password and then I went to fixing the files of the list (the file was a php totally fake or there a couple of lines infected in a regular wordpress php file).

To avoid this might happen again I installed a wordpress anti virus/malware (wordfence free ed).

After that I could see the site and access its back-end. But installing a new plugin gives and endless loop while pressing the first letter, moreover when updating a plugin it gives an error, some behavior while unistalling.

Googling for solution for similar situation I found a post saying that the solution for the same problem was changing in 777 the permission of the folder wp-update/upgrade.

It didn’t worked. I thought that same system (WordPress) file might be compromised so I overwritten all the site files with the files of a new installation (same version, saving the wp config).

Anybody has any suggestions?

Fix "serach" misspelling on widget in Writerstrap theme

I am using the Writerstrap theme. Inside the search box is the misspelling “serach”. I’ve been looking online for a suggestion about how to fix it with no luck. I can’t affect it from the Dashboard. I was also told to look at widgets.php. That file lists the search widget, but there’s no place to alter it. I also went to the theme page and posted a question, but it doesn’t look like there’s been any activity on it in months.

How to change url of all images in wordpress media library?

Hello,

I am working on large website (to many images, posts, large database), and I need to change almost every url of image in wp-content/uploads/ to target a one specific image. I have tried with WP RegEx Replace plugin, using this instructions but it’s not working. When I try to change specific url of one image it work, but if I want to select all images using wp-content/uploads/(.*)/(.*).jpg it’s not working.

Do you have idea how to do this?

search results pagination not working – 404 page

When I search for anything with more than one word (i.e. “the dog”), the search results page displays the first page fine, but if I try to go to page 2 or higher, I get a 404 error. I noticed that in the URL, it doesn’t put the + in between the search words. However, if I add the + manually, I can view all pages of the search results fine. When I revert back to 2014 theme the problem does not exist. Is this something in the Orange Theme’s search.php file?
