Good Morning, I am getting notifications that an old website I used to manage, [link redacted], has been upgraded, plugin updated, etc and since I am not the admin any more, I cannot remove myself from these messages. I would like to request a feature that would allow the admin to unsubscribe from these types of messages and mark themselves as not the admin anymore.

Blocking specific cookies

Hi there thanks for the great plugin. I have a question. I see that it blocks cookies by domain name. But can you block specific cookies? For example my site may load cookies from its domain and some may be necessary and some not. So I can’t put in https://*.mydomain.com/ as it would block / unblock all cookies from that domain.

I’ve used jetpack sometime in the past (2 years ago).
For unknown reasons I cannot activate jetpack on my self hosted blog again.

xmlrps is accessable: https://pop64.com/blog/xmlrpc.php
but I get the “An error occurred. Please try again.” when setting up jetpack.

I’m also not able to setup the wordpress app on iOS, which I just mention here, because I assume the iOS issue will be solved after jetpack is working.

pasted text results in “access denied”–why?

I have a brand new installation of WordPress 5.9.2 on my VPS, accessed via ssh from macOS for administration and Safari for testing (logging in to the “admin” page).

From the Pages>New Page link, I can enter a title and some sample text, and when I hit the Preview button the results show up nicely.

If instead of typing the text in from my keyboard I paste it in from another window (Emacs, LibreOffice, Preview, doesn’t matter), when I hit the Preview button (or try to save the page, or any other reasonable action), I get a 403-Forbidden-you-don’t-have-access page.

I thought it was because .htaccess was empty (fresh install), but putting the usual ModSecurity incantation into .htaccess makes no difference.

All of the on-line help I can find via search engines points to .htaccess (and makes unreasonable assumptions such as “cPanel access).

Where should I be looking, and what should I be looking for?

I like to write my wordpress blog post from google docs or stackedit or even via mail, then send it to wordpress for publication.

When adding a podcast episode, an MP3 file contained into the wordpress media library, how I am supposed to do it?

Is there a syntax or short code I could use to insert the link to the file, so that powerpress knows it’s a podcast episode?

CSS theme folder and file not writeable from wordpress

I am running a wordpress installation on a self hosted ubuntu server. Principally all is working OK. I can update plugins and modify pages, but when I try to change some theme variables, WordPress shows me an error that the css folder and file is not writeable although permissions are set.

This is what I have done:

I have created a group in Ubuntu with:
sudo addgroup group1

I have created 2 users in this group:
sudo adduser myself group1
sudo adduser www-data group1

I have set the owner for the web folder
chown -R myself:group1 /var/www/webfolder/

Permissions are set
chmod -R ugo+rwx /var/www/webfolder/
chmod -R g+s /var/www/webfolder/

Checking permissions with ls -l show as result:
drwxrwsrwx+ 5 myself group1 4096 Sep 17 15:16 webfolder

Is there something wrong in my configuration?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are doing good. I am having trouble in transferring or migrating my Free WordPress Blog Subscribers/Followers to my self hosted website. Now, I am unable to transfer them and I am confused what to do.

I have installed Jetpack and the website is running perfectly. I even used SmallSEOTools to check about the server and running of website.

My old Blog is:
PerfectionistYou.Wordpress.Com

New Website is:
PerfectionistYou.Com

I really want to transfer my subscribers. So, please help me out. Thank You so much for reading.

Move site from wordpress.com to selfhosted site – how will images be displayed?

Hi everybody,
The last week I have been reading a lot about moving a website from wordpress.com to a selfhosted site with the www.remarpro.com software.
I have lots of images that are displayed in the wordpress.com gallery.
If I import the images in my new wp site, how will they be displayed? I would love to have them displayed in a lightbox. For instance the one from Nextgen. Is that possible?
Or is it beter to only export and import the rest and create new galleries with Nextgen?
That will be a lot of work though.
Just curious what the best way is to do this.

How do I add them?
Where do I upload them to? And do I use @font-face?
