I have just purchased modula pro for the video integration faery. And when using a video url from bunnycdn I am getting error ………

The URL entered is malformed or no videos could be found.

I am unsure where to turn or where to start.

Any ideas for a learner of WordPress I greatly appreciate.

(ok, I have seen that I can not use my bunnycdn video link. I think self hosted, is literally in my wp gallery. Any advice on how to do this? Or alternatives.

Hello, I’m concerned about GDPR. I red “self-hosted” but in your screenshots I see Google endpoints. So: is this plugin making requests to Google? What does self-hosted mean?

Hello,

I want to host my website in my own computer. I want to use word-press to edit and create my site. I am using ubuntu server on a virtual machine.

I tried to find tutorials about how to do this but, all of them require to use some sort of paid plan in a hosting service.

I don’t have the money use any form of hosting service at the moment, so I decided to use my own computer with a virtual machine.

Can somebody help me? How can I install wordpress in my virtual machine?

Hello,

I am wondering about the possibilities of launching my sites on my own machine (iMac) using a large external hard drive. This would be for general hosting purposes and not just development. I read an article in codex.www.remarpro.com about this, but it mainly emphasized doing it for testing and development.

I would actually like to host my own content and be my own web host——because I value having full control over my data and cutting costs in the long term.

First, is this possible? Second, what is the process?

CSS help with Ixion theme

First off, I know some basic CSS and HTML but not enough to fix my two problems (I know what hex codes are and can swap/replace hex codes, I just don’t know the magic words (dot classes? is that the right phrase? I’m talking about something like .main-navigation, for example.) to fix the things.

1) I can’t seem to figure out how to remove these ugly white lines that surround the header on my website (and current development project) I still need the space to be there, but I just need the colour of the lines to match that of the background which I believe is a pale shade of grey.

2) There is also a small issue with hovering over the navigation menu links. when I hover over my main navigation links (the ones next to the logo, not the text in the drop down boxes), they turn to another shade of grey.

I need these to be #e00000 but I can’t seem to fix that in my current CSS plug-in for some weird reason

what custom CSS snippets can I chuck into the additional CSS box to fix these problems?

also just to mention i’m a bit tight for time, it needs to be done by saturday as I have to showcase the website then in a very important meeting.

Self-hosted Site Not Connected to dotcom site

Not going to lie, I am so f’ing confused right now. I went to self-hosted a few years ago however I did set up Jetpack which looks like I connected my self-hosted to wordpress.com somehow. But then, my posts on my self-hosted site stopped going over to my dotcom site in September of 2017. I did pay for a register SSL certificate and I have heard that this has caused problems so perhaps that is my problem??? In the long run, here is what I want to do, I want some semblance of my self-hosted blog posts to show up on my dotcom site. Can someone PLEASE help me! I’m pretty desperate right now. Thank you!

Why does my old wordpress site still exist?

So the url I placed in the “link to the page I need help with” is my old blog before I went to self-hosting. My active blog’s address is hotmessmemoir.com. I just commented on someone’s blog, clicked on my username that showed when commenting and it took me to my wordpress blog (the link above), vs hotmessmemoir.com. I guess my issue is, if folks click on my username to check out my blog, they are getting what looks to be an abandon blog. Is there anyway that when people click on my username, they are directed to my self-hosted blog? Does that all make sense?

Just setup my wp.org site, but did I make a mistake?

Hello, Guys I just have moved my site from wp.com to wp.org. After doing all the work now that I realize that there are some serious issues to move forward as per my limited knowledge on this topic. So kindly update me if I am right or wrong. (I hope I am wrong)
1. All existing likes accumulated on the posts on wp.com is lost forever and there is no way to get it back.
2. There is no wp.com kind of subscription anymore, People can’t do that “Follow”. Any user has to signup with email only. So basically a wp.com user cant quickly follow.
3. I have moved all my subscribers to wp.org but does that mean my subscribers going to see my posts on their feed? (because they all were my followers, not email subscribers)

Any feedback would help me greatly.
