Above is a link showing that when I go to all products in wordpress it now only shows me the title, brands, date and facebook sync. When I go to screen options it only has brands, comments, date, facebook sync and AIOSEO details as options. I used to have the ‘featured column’ and other options which I don’t remember what they were but it was very different to what I have now. I also cannot see the little picture of the product like I used to. Does anybody know what has happened to this?!

since update to WP 5.9 i can’t change screen options on tax “all posts” and “all pages”. If i rollback to 5.8.3 everything works fine. Adblock is disabled on page. Also if i deactivate all plugins it’s not working. I also reinstalled wordpress core but problem remains.

Editing a post, under ‘Screen Options’ (upper right) there’s a list of boxes such as ‘excerpt’, ‘discussion’, ‘revisions’.

I’d like to activate some of the options for all users having a certain role.

How are these boxes controlled?
Is an information stored in user_meta?
Can I set a default in functions.php

Actually it looks like no javascript working at all…although it is not disabled.

As far as I can make out the problem is restricted to the local windows server (my development box). It does not happen when accessing the remote servers with same browsers.

It does happen

• with all plugins deactivated and just the unaltered default theme
• in all browsers IE, firefox, chrome, safari. Yes cache was cleared… i even gave up overnight and it is still there this morning
• in wp 3.0.1 and an older wp 2.9 instance I have

Symptoms: (summary – now looks like no js when local server, yes js accessing remote sites)

• the dropdowns in the menu do not work (in my experience this is usually due to a problem with a plugin loading some jquery that clashes, however all plugins are deactivated)
• the screen option button is frozen, so cannot go to accessibility option
• the widgets are frozen, cannot open the sidebars, cannot drag the widgets

While it is “only” my development server, it is nonetheless concerning.

So what do you’all think ? The only commonality/difference is that it is the local server and as far as I can tell, a javascript thing

• I don’t think it is a browser cache thing – also happens in the browsers I do not normally use.
• Norton running so hopefully not a virus thing

I haven’t activated/installed ANY plugins, so that can’t be the issue.

On the Appearance page I can’t change anything.

Is it me or something else?
