i have a problem with my permalinks, when i use “Plain” permalink -example : https://pondokmaja.com/cleocleo2/?p=123 , it works fine
but when i use “Post Name” -example:https://pondokmaja.com/cleocleo2/sample-post/ , it doesnt work and just show me a blank white page.
all of my wordpress web on the same host -except this one- works fine with “Post Name” permalinks, so i think it’s not host problem
i tried to move my wordpress file to localhost, and it didnt work also, just another blank page when i use “Post Name” permalinks
can anyone solve this? im newbie in wordpress and my english also not good , im really sorry if i use any wrong words or phrases .
Thank you

]]>for some reason i must support an old version of WP (v3.4.2) and i can not upgrade it.
so i decided to install a copy of this website on my local development machine (ubuntu 13.10).
when i use permalink set to COMMON (https://myweb.art/?p=123), i can access to page on the front end.
but if i set the postname as permalink structure (https://myweb.art/sample-post/) i got a message that such page is not reachable :
Not Found
The requested URL /services/ was not found on this server.
Apache/2.4.6 (Ubuntu) Server at myweb.art Port 80
any idea how to fix it ?
i thought problem would be located in .htaccess but i do not see anything special there.
thx for help.

]]>I’m trying to change permalink structure from bla/bla/?p=123 and to bla/bal/sample-post
However; whenever I do this (or any other permalink change, besides default) I’m getting a 404 on every page. All the URL’s are being updated correctly, so when I click a link it will send me to the correct link for that given URL-pattern, but the server can’t locate any files at the given location.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
]]>It is my understanding that when you create a post it takes whatever is in the Title field and uses that as the URL. For example Title: ‘Dogs Running Around’ would look like ‘/dogs-running-around’
I am wondering at what point that becomes a permalink. I work at an agency where someone had created a sample-post article and saved it; it was later revisited, edited and then published. This subsequently caused it to have a permalink as ‘/sample-post.’ Despite the article having a title, etc. We ended up having to redirect it due to this fact.
I am just wondering how we can edit the original permalink to destroy the ‘/sample-post’ and ultimately forego the redirect. Is this even possible?
Thanks!
