The wrong site has been placed into safe mode. How do I turn it off?

Jetpack Stats gone after creating staging site on different host

I hired someone to restore a back up of my live site to a staging area on my host, but she created it on a different server / host. Then my real live site had a message from jetpack saying the site was in safe mode as it was a copy of the staging site.

On wordpress.com, the connected site showed the staging site, so I disconnected the site and reconnected the correct site above and now all the stats are gone. I really need them back.

Is there any way to restore? And is this normal for jetpack to put my main site into safemode and somehow see the clone as the main site? I’m getting a similar message on some other clones on my server that I didn’t get before this happened.

Please help!

I use HFCM but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t do PHP. I used My Custom Functions and I had a PHP error and it crashed my site.

So to recover the site I had to change the plugin folder name. I tired to activate MCF and its broken and can’t be reactivated, so I had to use File Manager to delete the plugin.

So I tried Woody and you know this woodpecker is so smart and safe because of this safe mode link –> https://your-site-name.dev/wp-admin/?wbcr-php-snippets-safe-mode and you can easily change your code and update it without wrecking your site! I’m very happy about this feature and will probably move my HFCM codes to Woody because Woody is much safer for guys like me who nuke their production site daily. Glad to be a Woody Fan! Thank you Woody for offering a free and easy to use plugin!!!

Stuck on grey page/safe mode on edit in one specific post w elementor pro

Hi there,

I just installed the Polylang connect plugin, everything works fine, except that this page in question, the only one I’ve fully translated, I can only edit it now, if I disable the plugin. If I keep it on it gives me a grey screen with Elementor loading symbol and safe mode option. All was going smoothly until some 15mins after I finished the translation.

Is there a way to fix this? Thanks

p.s. another small topic, minimalistic detail, once you click on the widget EN to change to PT and move the mouse away like the icon starts having a dotted small border right before it changes page. Why is that? Thank you!

My plugins versions are Elementor Pro 2.5.0 (beta1) – it was giving the grey page error also before I put the beta version – Elementor 2.5.9 – Polylang 2.5.2 – Connect Polylang 1.0.0

I took my site out of Safe Mode to see if that would fix the gallery display: it did not. Can I put the site back in Safe Mode? How?

I made a staging site by copying the live site.

Now in the staging site i am getting notice as below

Jetpack has been placed into Safe mode because we noticed this is an exact copy of domain.com

When i click on “Confirm Safe Mode”

It gives me error saying:
“Something went wrong: Try Again”

Clicking on Try Again does nothing.

I want to show images from my Flickr albums on my WP site but my web hotel only allows safemode. Are there a plugin that I can use? All suggestion are most welcome!
