1. I want the date to appear above the post titles, but can’t find ‘the_date’ in any of my php files. I see ‘the_title’ in single.php, but no evidence of the date anywhere.

2. I’d like to remove the Rolling Archives at the top all together. Is there a quick and clean way to do this?

I (unfortunately) upgraded and now K2’s embedded AJAX features don’t work.

1) Live Search has gone from live search to an ordinary box with a Go button underneath.

2) No more Rolling Archives slider.

Is this going to be fixed in a later WP update? Or should I fix it myself (and if so how)? Or should I go back to 2.7?

Except I’d like to have a more tradition structure like /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ especially considering this is what’s preferred by Slickr gallery.

EDIT – I’ve also tried the suggestion of using a category base, this doesn’t help unfortunately.
