I was searching for a reason as to why the plugins creator stopped answering and came upon the news that he had passed away in January of this year. It’s sad that some of his work has been taken down and not passed on to another so that it could live on. It’s a loss for everyone as he was a really great guy and so helpful and supportive. My condolences to his family and friends. He will be greately missed. RIP Kemory Grubb (Sean).

Green.Money, Green Payment Processing is a SCAM Company

For the past year, I’ve used Green Payment Processing and paid extra for verification services. For over a week and a half, Green.Money has been verifying and processing fraudulent checks that came into our bank. After a few days, money was taken from my account and checks bounced. Due to Green Payment Processing’s terrible e-check service and checking our bank statements, we were able to supply the product to our customers. Not even a name or a phone number had been confirmed by them, and we had no idea that they did. They say they’ll take responsibility if a verified check bounces, but I have email confirmation that the checks were verified, and they don’t. In fact, they charged us a return fee, a purchasing fee, on orders that were never cleared. They claimed to take responsibility. Our third-party merchant sent us fraudulent checks, but Green Payment Processing still paid them over $4,000 in fees. Because they had the audacity to charge us processing and sales fees on a fictitious order, Green.Money was the only one who benefited from the fraudulent transaction. In other words, Green.Money clearly exploits its users. They immediately closed and deleted the account after we showed them the bounced fraudulent checks that came from them.

…when this plugin was the best of his kind. Used it for a long time, but sadly it’s abandoned and wasting people’s time. It should be removed from the repository.

On a more positive, anyone know a better plugin that doesn’t fill up their error logs with 600Mb worth of #$%^& in a matter of a few days?

Prob after update to 1.7

Is it just me or is there a minor prob after the update?

Update from 1.6 to 1.7 and…oops…still having the snippets and it says they are all activ but none are “functional”.

Deactivate, and re-activating, uninstall whatever I do not working for me anymore. I add new code to it which also not work in code-snippets .(although it works gr8 in functions.php)
Did re-check, placed snippets in functions.php and they all work,
went back to 1.6, not working anymore. (it happend in a sandbox and not live so lucky us)
Update was flawless, anyone has a suggestion for what could be the reason or what mistake I maybe made?

Plugin should be removed from the WordPress plugin Repository as it doesn’t work without a paid subscription.

Either that or it should be updated to tell people it no longer works without a payed subscription.

[Plugin: All in One Video Pack] Beware of being ripped-off!

First, the good stuff.

This plugin is awesome. Or should I write – COULD – be awesome.

But it’s not. Why?

Because it’s not free! It doesn’t say anywhere clearly (which is obviously a nasty marketing practice) that once you sign up for the account in Kaltura, you are actually signing up for a trial of the product and you are limited to 10 GB bandwidth & storage and that it doesn’t renew.

Well, it could still be quite okay, but then, once you reached the limit and you try to find out how to extend your account / buy additional bandwidth you can’t find the prices anywhere and you’re forced to contact their support team… Why won’t they tell the prices, you’d ask? It’s easy! Because the prices are RIDICULOUS!

It’s $299 / month for 150 gb throughout one year, so let’s do the quick math: $299 * 12 = $3588 per year! For that amount of money, you can build and run your own server or buy an ULTIMATE hosting plan from one of the many providers out there!

Now, since they lie or at least DON’T TELL CLEARLY about the trial, 10 GB bandwidth limit without the possibility of being extended, and the most important thing – about the prices – it becomes pointless to use this plugin!

WordPress is free and even though I understand it’s okay to buy for certain plugins, it’s just stupid to ask for that amount of money. With that amount of money, a regular blogger won’t buy it, and furthermore, professional editors won’t buy it either because for that amount of money you can build your own hardware and software solution for video hosting.

Be more down to earth guys. Don’t be ridiculous. And most of all – don’t try to rip off people. If you try to sell something, say it IN OUR FACES – “we’re gonna charge you 4000 dollars for using our plugin”. Just don’t lie. No one likes liars.

Anyway, I’ve been using this plugin for quite a while, but not anymore. I’d rather just pay for additional bandwidth on my own hosting server.
