I’m having a strange issue with a little bit of custom code (Restrict Categories Pro Plugin) I use to restrict one of our product categories to be wholesale only. However, I’m getting a noindex, follow on categories that are not restricted.

I went through Yoast and made sure the categories weren’t set to noindex, and did a plugin test on everything. The only time the no index disappeared was when I turned off either plugin. It is injecting this code into the page headers:

Thats from a page with no restrictions enabled. When I turn the Restrict Categories plugin off, it changes to this:

If I deactivate the Yoast plugin, it disappears all together.

I’ve already spoken to the IgniteWoo plugin support and we would like to know if there’s something they need to add to the plugin to prevent this from happening. Both Plugins are currently active on the site.

Can your free (or premium extension)help me to:
1) Create a “Featured” category that this level of user is restricted to posting to or seeing as an option?

2) Allow me to add their post to this “featured” category via the backend?

I’ve just noticed that the disclaimer for restricted categories is only displayed when user is not logged in. Meanwhile it is not displayed when user is logged in – which is a problem for me since we currently do not store the age of our users… Any chance to get a solution ?

We are a working clothes business.

It’s a website designed for 1 mother company which has 14 subcompany’s. The person using the website should be able to buy working clothes for all of their employees on this website. So there is only one active user ordering clothes.

However, we would like to import all employees, and their corresponding clothes sizes.

Every company has their own employees and available clothing, that won’t be a problem, i’ll use restricted categories for that.

So if the purchaser visits the website he will be able to do the following:

– Choose which of the 14 company’s to buy clothes for
– Choose which person to buy clothes for
– Select which clothes to buy

And then afterwards we will receive the order together with the employees name.

I tried to be as clear as possible in my explanation, i hope someone can help me. Maybe a combination of plugins will do the trick.

I am testing this with two users, one has the ‘English’ category box ticked (in Restricted Categories settings), the other ‘Nederlands’.

However when either is logged in the blog shows both categories, so nothing has changed. Moreover, the user can still select the category he was not supposed to access. So what is happening here? Or am I misunderstanding the use of this plug-in?
