Does it actually need anything past WP 4.9?

For what should be obvious reasons, I am seriously looking at moving away from WP to ClassicPress.

CP’s conversion plugin won’t touch anything that says it won’t work with WP 4.9 (i.e. before Gutenberg was controversially put into core)… and that includes this wonderful plugin.

Before I spend some time and effort trying anyway, would it work under WP 4.9 or is there something in 6.4 it actually needs?

CP has ported a number of other changes since the Gutenberg mistake, so it could work provided there’s not a reliance on the block editor.

Hello everyone,

I am setting up a WP website and will be connecting MailerLite to it. I am assuming that I need to install the official MailerLite signup forms plugin. But despite 70K+ users, I see only a handful of reviews, most 3 stars or lower. Numerous help topics are closed to comments but with no resolution. It also appears that despite being the official plugin, some users cannot add a pop-up to their site, a basic feature that I would expect to work.

Questions:

Is this plugin required in order to use MailerLite on a WP site?

If anyone has used another plugin, which one has worked for them?

Any comments pro/con are appreciated.

Requirement for Woocommerce in Must Use plugins

Hello there,
I wish to use your plugin with a WP install where I put Woocommerce in mu-plugins. Unfortunately yout plugin refuses to work if it does not detect woocommerce activated as regular plugin.

I managed to trick your verification located in WPO_WCPDF::is_woocommerce_activated() by hooking like this :

enable a flag in a ‘muplugins_loaded’ hook
check flag is ON in a ‘option_active_plugins’ hook and if so push ‘woocommerce/woocommerce.php’ to plugins array (coming from in active_plugins)
disable flag in a ‘plugins_loaded’ hook fired lately (ex: 99)

This is working but that would be nice that your plugin could check if WC does not exists in WPMU_PLUGIN_DIR

If someone’s wonder why to use a flag: if you don’t, when WP core do_action( ‘option_active_plugins’ ) for its own purposes, it gets your woocommerce push to the unserialized active_plugins option and this may cause you some trouble (at least an updated option with as many [‘woocommerce/woocommerce.php’] as plugins you enabled/disabled and a persistent notice in dashboard complaining about woocommerce not found among plugins).

PayPal business account required

In order for this plugin to work you need a PayPal business account, and this is stated absolutely NOWHERE. Not in the documentation (on payments at least, or PayPal page), not on the plugin page either.
I installed this and wasted like 2 hours to configure everything just to see I must make a business account and I do not wish to do so.

The plugin? Great, perhaps, but when there are hidden requirements and I waste my time it’s beyond annoying. Not giving 1 star because surely it doesn’t deserve it, but 2 because other casual sellers will face the same issue.

WP STREAM THEME INSTALLATION

I have a server CentOS7 (Cpanel) where I installed WordPress and installed the wp stream plugin (already have my credentials of the plugin) The PHP versión is 7.4, but the problem is when I upload the theme and install, the wp-admin appear with a critical error and I can enter. I have to delete the theme in files manager so I can enter again to my WP-admin.

My questions are: Which modules, extensions or requirements the theme need to be installed on my server that is clean because is only for my website.
