API server test – Request denied

I just went over my API Client and API Server. I have copied keys and they should be exact. I am getting an error on server api test:

Any ideas how to attack this? I am not sure if I have static IP with my host. Is that an issue?

Also, is there a way to test the client side? Not sure what one does, and what the other does.

HTTP 403 Forbidden

Hello there,

I’m experiencing a HTTP 403 Error while trying to save some content changes using Beaver Builder (page builder). My IP address is already whitelisted, yet the request is denied (Malicious request denied) / Suspicious SQL code detected. To be clear, I’m only editing text block contents when I get a 403 error message. I’ve been using WP Cerber for years and never had any issues until now. What do I need to do to correct this?

Basic Google Maps Placemarks geocode error: Request Denied.

Dear Ian and the wonderful Basic Google Maps Placemarks community.
I have been using this plugin for several years, and love it. A few months ago, it stopped working: I can still see old placemarks on my map, but for any new placemark I get the error message: “Basic Google Maps Placemarks geocode error: Request Denied”
As far as I know, I haven’t changed anything to cause this.

I know this has been an issue for several users but I can’t find an answer, would anyone be able to help?

Error using Google API

Hey Noah,

I just experienced a strange error.
I did the recommended set up for the Plug in with a new Project in the Google Developer’s Console, then I stumbled across the error.

At first with “We’re open” then I retested it with your Rating Plugin.
Both of your Plug-ins show me the same Error message: “Error: Your Google API Key is not valid for this request and permission is denied. Please check your Google API Key.”
But in the Google Developer’s Console the new API Key shows multiple uses, but everytime it is reportet as a error in the Developer’s Console.

The Rating Plugin shows this as retrieved data:

So I triple checked and copied the IP-Address and the Place ID.

After this I changed the Application Restriction in the Google API from IP to HTML-Website and reseved this arrow message (from the rating plugin): “error_message”: “API keys with referer restrictions cannot be used with this API.”,

“status”: “REQUEST_DENIED”

So is there anything I did wrong?

API Request Denied when saving

Hi,

All of a sudden we cannot properly add new store locations. Whenever we try to save, we get the following error (partially in Dutch):

Er is een probleem met Google Geocoding API – REQUEST_DENIED.

Foutmelding: This IP, site or mobile application is not authorized to use this API key. Request received from IP address 2a03:3c00:a002:198::1, with referer: https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=Sint+Franciscusweg+36-3%2CHeerlen%2C6417BD%2CNederland&language=nl®ion=nl&key=AIzaSyCNJxWWpMVmaw8M7-hjhvKiVmWl8oMyHl4&libraries=places&AIzaSyAZN-rEoSgNUv7MPA9w_SgyWpZO_CE8MeQ.

Controleer of het IP adres dat vermeld is in de foutmelding ook is opgegeven als de referrer voor de server API key in de Google API Console.

We can save the location manually, but it will not be shown in the overview.

We didn’t change our settings, neither in WordPress or in Google. Our IP address is also still the same. I also checked Google to see if there were any API restrictions set, but this was not the case. Do you have any idea how we can fix this? Thanks in advance.

Basic Google Maps Placement geocode error: Request Denied

A few things. I did search for this error, and I found a thread that was never resolved. I thought the error was due to a new API key. I got one, and it didn’t resolve itself. I get the error in 2 places. 1. When I add a new placemark. 2. On the Basic Google Maps settings page. I linked the screenshots below. The errors are highlighted. (I couldn’t figure out how to insert the photo in this post, so I linked it.)

The previous company that helped set up our page is no longer in business, so I’m not really sure where else I can turn to. Please help.

Adding new stores “REQUEST DENIED”

I have the map working well, however I’m trying to add new stores and each time I do, I get this error message on the WordPress page:

The Google Geocoding API returned REQUEST_DENIED.?

Error message: This IP, site or mobile application is not authorized to use this API key. Request received from IP address 209.237.142.118, with referer: https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=8403+Louetta+Rd%2CSpring%2CTX%2C77379%2CUnited+States&language=en®ion=us&key=AIzaSyAgOvG517gDkyr1pX7vAKlEPDzU2sP3xlQ&libraries=places

Then the status of the store says “pending”. The other store I have listed works just fine, but any new ones do not. Any ideas what the problem is?

I keep getting this error message when trying to update a post: This request has been denied for security reasons. If you believe this was in error, please contact support.

I was working on it this morning and came back to it, then noticed the update button was greyed out. I restored the post, made a few more changes and updated. Then the error message.

I have no idea what I should do and whether or not I’ll lose all my work if I close the tab!
