This plugin does exactly what it sets out to do, and it does it well. It’s easy to use, very intuitive, and has a few powerful options for advanced users, but they don’t get in the way of simply using the plugin to replace a media file.

I love that you can use the same url for a PDF, and continue to upload new versions of it. Same thing for images.

Greetings. I’m building a site using the Twenty Seventeen theme. Several food-related images come with the theme and I want to replace them on the home page. Where do I go to replace them once I have uploaded them to the media folder? I am building the site using MAMP on a local laptop for now.

Edit Portfolio section

I am using the Illdy theme, and I have the Portfolio section. I need to edit the background images, but I can’t find where to change them at. One thread said to use the HTML module in the drag and drop edit page tool, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. Where do I go to perform the edits? I can’t see anyplace to change the photos or add content.

Does WordPress keep my images on their server or my Domain

I need to retrieve images from my website. I can’t just replace them. I wondered if WP holds my images on their servers or would my Domain hold them.

Hi all

I’m on WordPress 4.2.2 running Spacious theme (not up and running yet). And I’m a bit of a novice.

I am trying to make my images get replaced with different images if someone visits the site on a mobile as they contain text information that will be too small to read when resized.

I can’t find any plugins that I can be sure will do this.

Can anyone suggest any plugins or HTML code I can copy and past that might help me?

SmartShop Theme Personalizations

Hello all,

I am currently using SmartShop Theme and would love to ask a couple of questions about how to personalize it a little:

1. I would like to replace the existing colored (my theme color) rectangle under my menu on which the name of the page I am currently on is put with a custom image?
2. If I am able to do the above, what are the recommended width for my image to match the boxed version of the theme?
3. Are there any ways to more beautifully represent the submenus (dropdown menus) on the main menu? (like changing color as I move my mouse over the dropdown options)

Replace slideshow images within Network Solutions hosting package

I had my site professionally developed and had it transferred to Network Solutions, now I want to change the Slideshow images on the home page but I can’t find the images in the WordPress dashboard or in gallery. Where are they located? It’s as if the home page is locked from being modified. I did find on the Network Solutions file manager the image files, wp-content>themes>ndic>images>slideshow>slide1.jpg . I just want to exchange the images and have the replacements still show at the same speed and in the same size. In the file manager I can upload or delete files, however, deleting a file does not automatically replace it with the newly uploaded file. I called a local web designer to inquire about the change and that went nowhere, except for an hourly fee they were willing to charge me if I choose to have it fixed. Replace (overwrite) Previously Uploaded Images (Including Thumbnails!)

Hi,
I have a ton of images already uploaded to a wordpress site. The problem is that I need to overwrite most of these images with new version of theses images that are :
1. Better optimized (smaller filesize and lower resolution in some cases)
2. Enhanced to correct white balance issues, sharpness, contrast, better cropping etc… note that some image might need to have their proportion changed.

This should have been done before, I know, its too late now and I would like to avoid re-uploading the images manually through wordpress one by one and going to edit the image urls links in each post, this would be a real pain…

I would like to edit the images in batch with lightroom, then simply upload them through ftp and overwrite the old ones, but my understanding is that this will not work well because wordpress automatically generated thumbnail of various sizes when I uploaded the images for the first time, so anytime my theme uses thumbnail I would be seeing the old versions…?

BTW I dont know if this has any impact but i’m using a premium(paid) theme
