Client brought me a site to clean up. It has a plugin that WordFence reports as “removed from WordPress.” I really need background on this plugin to manage the problem. Plugin name: Secure Lockdown

Is there a place to review “removed plugins” — why removed — last time updated by author? Thank you.

False warning about removed plugin

Since 18 March I have been getting Wordfence warnings from several sites that a plugin had been removed from www.remarpro.com as following example:

The Plugin “HTTP headers to improve web site security” has been removed from www.remarpro.com.

On checking today I found that plugin was still available and with an update, which installed without issues on each site.

I believe this plugin looks like it was killed by the author or closed by WP.org mods because users were not setting up Electrum wallet correctly. I experienced the same issue that many people were having with the plugin, but that was my own user error. After working to resolve it with the Electrum community, nothing was stolen, I had some payments being sent to one part of a multi sig wallet that I wasn’t able to view because of my setup.

Great plugin; should not be removed. Possible resolution, just a little more explanation on how to setup the Electrum wallet.

Removed plugin still showing up on scan list

A plugin that was deactivated and deleted from my client’s site is still showing up in the New Issues area when I run a scan. (It was a plugin that appeared to be abandoned — Kwayy HTML Sitemap.)

The warning I’m seeing in the log (cut off at the end) is:
Warning: fopen(/home/sitename/public_html/wp-content/plugins/kwayy-html-sitemap/kwayy-html-sitemap.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/sitename/public_html/wp-incl

I’d appreciate any insights/direction on how to address this. Thanks.

On the left sidebar in my WordPress Dashboard is a button that says “Feedback” and when I click on it, there are a bunch of messages that I received through a contact plugin that I am no longer using … I don’t remember the name of the plugin but I have deactivated and deleted it, and am now using a different one. Is there a way to remove the Feedback menu from my sidebar? I would have expected it to be removed when I removed the plugin but I recently noticed that it was still there. Thanks!
